    This was the sixth book in Rebecca Gannon’s Carfano Crime Family series.
    This was Nico and Cassandra’s story.
    It was well paced and interesting, and the two main characters have definite heat and passion.
    The plot wasn’t quite as intricate as some of the prior books, but I still enjoyed reading about the Carfano family. We get to see some interactions with other members of the family.

    These two are firecrackers together! Strong and stubborn to a fault which makes for an amazing read! I love this series and will be sad when it ends! The plot and storyline were entertaining and kept me invested until the very end. The chemistry between Nico and Cassie was explosive. I loved that Cassie wanted to be independent and handle things in her own. I loved that Nico wanted to come to the rescue of the woman he loved. They still could have done it together without losing those traits but then we wouldn’t have a great book to read! I can’t wait to see what Rebecca Gannon had for us next!

    Nico never saw the same girl more than once. Or wanted to. Til Cassandra. He spent a weekend with her and couldn’t forget her. Then he spots her dancing in one of their clubs. Cassandra couldn’t forget Nico either. But having grown up in a mafia family she didn’t want to get involved with another one. But trouble follows and her brother’s gambling habit has her scrambling to try to save his life. And the one man she doesn’t want to ask for help turns out to be her only hope.
    This is one of the best stories in the Carfano series. And they are all great.

    I thought the book was well written in the sense of the writing style and the diction. It was fast paced and I liked both Nico and Cassandra's characters - alpha male, sassy female. It kept you engaged. With that said, I felt like the plot itself, without leaving any spoilers, was a little meh, which is why i gave it 3 stars. I received an ARC and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

    This book was pretty good. I really liked the main male character, Nico. He really wanted anything and everything that was best for Cassandra. He wanted to help her and tried to do so without stepping on her toes.

    Cassandra was used to solving problems on her own, never asking for help and never making herself a burden.

    Nico being a caretaker, and Cassandra being so independent, it was hard for her to trust him or want him to take care of her, and it was hard for Nico not to keep pushing because that's just who he is.

    I do with that Cassandra at least would have given him more information, then a lot of the problems they faced would have been lessened.

    The spice of this book was excellent. The main male character is bae.

    Cassandra is trying to help her brother out with his gambling. On her first night at a strip club who comes in? Nico Carano, the man she spent a wild weekend with and and that she hasn’t stopped thinking about. When Nico spots Cassandra on stage he is determined to not let go of her again. He knows she is in trouble but will she let herself trust him and let him help her? The steam will melt the reader’s book, kindle, etc.. Loved it!
