Born and raised in Virginia, LM Fox currently lives in a suburb of Richmond with her husband, three kids, and a chocolate lab.

Her pastimes are traveling to new and favorite places, trying new foods, a swoony book with either a good cup of tea or coffee, margaritas on special occasions, and watching her kids participate in a variety of sports.

Who doesn't need a new calendar and we all want to support the local fire station right? Well Magnolia Point's fire station doesn't exactly have a great track record and Quinn Patterson is here to clean up their reputation and start her PR business. Jason Bristow doesn't enjoy going back to his home town, he doesn't even really consider it home. But it's where his dad lives and where he needs to be for the next six weeks. Bring on the fun with this brothers ex best friend, age gap, childhood crush, firefighter romance. This book is part of an interconnected world including books from multiple other authors. Books can really be read in any order or as complete standalones. The are quick, short on drama, but big on love and HEA's. I have voluntarily left this review.

    Small town romance with Jason, hot firefighter who got burned when he caught his fiancée making out with his best friend. Years later, Jason returns home for a short time to help his dad. Quinn takes on a project to bring back the positivity for the firefighter team. Needing one more firefighter to pose for next year’s calendar, she chases after Jason who keeps saying no. Pressure from others changes his mind & he finds that he has an attraction to her even though she’s younger than him & her brother was the one who stole his fiancée years ago. When Jason’s finished helping his dad within 6 weeks, his plans are to return to his favorite town to start his new job. Does he have the strength to leave Quinn behind or will he stay with her to see if there’s a love connection between them?

    As this is a new author’s novella for me, I thought it had the right mixture of a small town romance where she was being punished by being related to a brother who stole his fiancée. I think Jason should count this as a blessing as the fiancée wouldn’t be a good fit for him. Quinn proved that there was a strong attraction between her & Jason so either she acts on her crush or leave him to be a loner. My favorite line is the last sentence where he'll do whatever it takes to make Quinn his Mrs. December! It brought a smile to a happy ending.

    This time of year, I don’t have as much time to devote to longer reads as I would like to. I’m all about novellas, and Author LM Fox’s “Chasing Mr. December” fits the criteria perfectly. LM Fox gives readers a feel-good second chance Christmas romance with a firefighter MMC, Jason, that is the right balance of hot and sweet. Jason certainly delivers well in the steamy scenes with Quinn.

    What I love about second-chance stories like “Chasing Mr. December” is when characters like Quinn return to town all grown up. It’s like, “Look at me now.” She wasn’t the same girl with braces and pigtails Jason last saw. The story is 164 pages long, which is the perfect amount to cover their history, romance, steam, and closure. It was a good short story.

    Wow!! This is my first book by L.M. But I absolutely loved it!! Jason and Quinn shouldn't have made the perfect couple...his former best friend is Quinn's brother Ian. Ian betrayed him in a bad way and Jason completely left town..the only reason he is back is because of his dad.
    Quinn understands why Jason doesn't want to be around her..even if it hurts since she wasn't the one who hurt him in the past.

    L.M. Fox is one of my all-time favorite authors, and Chasing Mr. December absolutely lives up to her usual magic! This is part of the Magnolia Point Man of the Month series, and it’s such a fun, heartfelt read.

    Jason Bristow has avoided his hometown for years—and for good reason. He was all set to get married, only to find out his fiancée was cheating on him with his best friend. Now, he’s back because his dad had a health scare and needs help running the family’s tree farm. Jason, a firefighter in Sycamore Mountain and up for a promotion, assists the local fire station while he’s in town

    Enter Quinn, the younger sister of his former best friend. She’s working for the town, trying to give it a much-needed image boost, and she’s in charge of creating a calendar featuring the fire department. But she’s missing her Mr. December. Naturally, she wants Jason to fill the role, but he’s shot her down every way he can think of. Despite the rejections, the two can’t deny their instant connection, even with the nearly ten-year age gap and the whole awkward family history thing.

    The story’s concept is adorable, and I loved how determined Quinn was—not just in convincing Jason to join the calendar but also in pursuing her feelings for him. Watching Jason finally give in, not only to the calendar but to their chemistry, was so satisfying. The ending was perfect and a great reminder that sometimes the best things take time.

    On top of that, their dads were the absolute best, bringing so much warmth and humor to the story. And of course, seeing familiar faces from the Man of the Month series added an extra layer of fun. Another winner from L.M. Fox—I can’t wait for the next one!
