- Reviewed in the United States on August 24, 2021Chef Dani and her Sou Chef along with her young niece and two dogs (plus the Nanny and one of the Sou Chef's workers (he is also a private investigator) take off for a wedding in France. It is being held at a magnificent mansion and vineyard. They are all excited to be going as there is a lot to see and do there.
Everything is perfect or so they all think. But in the background there is trouble afoot. Both the Bridesmaid and the Maid of Honor are jealous of the Bride. Then there is also the man who wanted to be the wine master but was not picked.
The morning of the wedding the bride is missing! They can not find her anywhere! Finally the Sou Chef gets into the act (having been asked of course) and takes on his other role as private investigator. With the help of Anna (the niece) and Killer--they are able to find her!
The wedding goes on but you will laugh who walks down the aisle with her as her Maid of Honor!
Of course since it is Chef Dani who is in charge of the food it all sounds really delicious-lots of unusual recipes at the end of the book!

- Reviewed in the United States on December 5, 2022I enjoyed reading about the grounds of Chateau Mardrigal and the cave system under it. I also enjoyed reading about all the preparation it took behind the scenes to pull off a spectacular wedding. This story also illustrates how the ancient battle of good vs evil is always present in our lives?
- Reviewed in the United States on November 3, 2024Most intriguing plot and excellent finish. Characterizations really carried the story. I worry that so much fawning over money and perfection gets a tad bit tiring, but I enjoyed it nonetheless!
- Reviewed in the United States on July 22, 2021Book 4 of this series of Chef Dani Rosetti, sous-chef Arthur and Killer that hugh Mastiff dog and her neice Anna finds them all headed to France to cater the wedding. Julien Chastain an important winemaker and his bride, Amalie Laval a winemaker at Chateau Madrigal are to be joined in marriage hosted by winemaker Reichard Madrigal at his Chateau.
Dani and Arthur are planning a reception dinner and wedding day meal like none you’ve ever seen and hopefully time to enjoy some of the great restaurants in France before heading home.
All is going well until just before the wedding the bride, Amalie disappears. You have several possible candidates, the sister of the bride, disgruntled maid of honor or what about the person who wanted to be named new winemaker?
Great series looking forward to more with Dani, Arthur and Anna

5.0 out of 5 stars Great series!
Enjoy the characters and their interactions with each other. Diane’s created a great team, and as a dog lover, the addition of the animals is a bonus. Definitely want to read more.
