    Wow! Not what I saw coming but isn't that the best kind of book? I've read a few books by this author and I have learned that the obvious is never what it seems and never trust the good guy. Lisa Renee Jones is very good at this.

    This is the second book in the duet. You must read the first book to fully grasp the details of the deceit and deception mixed with love and trust in the story. Faith Winter has trust issues but for good reason and those around her don't make it any easier.

    I loved the character of Nick and his rough and tough exterior but the soft heart deep inside him that he allows Faith to find. He grew a heart as he said. Faith tries to trust again only to be burned but in the fire it's who is there to help her pick up the pieces that counts. What a tangled web this story is...but it's all about trust. Something very hard for Faith. Being alone is so much easier.

    Another fabulous, can't put it down book. I tried to shut out real life so I could read but it just didn't work. Lisa Renee Jones has another five star read for me with a steady passed, twists and turns, love story with characters who are revealed little by little as the story progresses. I couldn't wait for this book to come out after reading Provocative. It was well worth it!

    I have been eagerly anticipating Shameless, after all, who wouldn’t be after the ending of Provocative. This duet has been all about the action from the very start and in true Lisa Renee Jones fashion she starts as she means to go on…action…suspense…intrigue…action…suspense…intrigue. This was a rollercoaster of a ride not only with the sizzling chemistry between Nick and Faith, but also with the undercurrent of suspense, was it murder and also, what happens when secrets are finally revealed? From first to last page, it just keeps coming and even after the end, I’m still thinking about them and that is always a good thing.

    “Murder brought me here. Faith kept me here.”

    Nick and Faith were a couple who fell quick and who fell hard. Their relationship based on not only their scorching hot physical attraction to one and other or their explosive chemistry between the sheets but their inherent belief that they can trust one and other. Nick and Faith both have their secrets, both feel the need to unload, but the time is never right. The trouble being though, when trust is such an important bond between them, what happens when its broken? Protection is one thing, but lies through omission are still lies.

    “But hours later as I lay in bed, holding Faith close, I am not reveling in the mountain we’ve climbed today. I’m too busy looking for a way to battle the sea of sharks that are my lies.”

    Lisa Renee Jones paced this book perfectly, it was fast paced which totally went with the vibe of romantic suspense. Little clues and red herrings were there if you read between the lines, but the truth was never revealed until the end. So many what if’s, so many different plots running through my head and yet I was still sideswiped. The villain of this story was who I thought during this book but did they work alone?

    “Betrayal doesn’t come from your enemies.”

    This book was a journey for both Nick and Faith, both emotionally and physically. Their beginning was not expected, their journey fraught with obstacles, but it is this that makes them stronger. Of course you have the angst, that was to be expected, but I really did feel the connection between these two despite their rapid development into a relationship. Sometimes you just know, your heart knows and these two just felt right from the very beginning. Nick was always an individual, he was the lawyer, “The Tiger,” but in this book he becomes Nick and Faith, an “us,” and for me that was the biggest journey of all.

    “I can be naked and f*** a million women and they wouldn’t have anything but my c***, Faith. But you Faith, are the one who is one hell of a drug.”

    I loved this book, it was exactly what I expected and more, it more than delivered, and my only criticism is that I felt that the ending was rushed, at least it read that way. But, none the less, all the I’s were dotted and the t’s were crossed, I got my answers and they got theirs. Sometimes it is worth that leap of faith.

    “Sweetheart, you have pieces of me no one was supposed to ever have, and the many ways you could shatter them should have me running for the hills. But all I want to do is kiss you again. Hold you. Watch you paint.”

    There's a whole lot of sexy mixed with mystery, secrets, lies and...murder.

    You're either in or out, Faith. I'm all in. (I've paraphrased what Nick said).

    Faith finally reveals everything exposes herself. She sees the secrets in his eyes and actions. Neither is truly all in until it's all on the line, and then it may be too late.

    There are so many connections to preceding books. Mark's club. Rebecca's favorite coffee shop. Chris and Sara's gallery. It all ties together and adds wonderful dimension to Nick and Faith's love story.

    Secrets aside, I think many women want a man who would do just about anything for his woman; a man who proclaims his love so profoundly. And even those secrets, as much as they could destroy them, he withheld selfishly at first, and to protect the "us" they were trying to build.

    Provocative and Shameless are wonderful additions to the story that all began with a woman trying to solve the mystery she discovered in a diary. This series, with all the inter-related stories keeps me on the edge of my seat, turning page after page, and falling for each alpha man and their strong and sassy heroine. All are damaged but together are whole.

    Lies can only lead to trouble and broken hearts. Nick has kept some secrets from Faith and he is really concerned she will leave him when she finds out the truth.

    This is a complex plotline with all the steamy scenes and plot twists we are used to from this author. Who could possibly want to kill in order to get their hands on the winery? If they were willing to kill Faith's mother and Nick's father, will they also try to kill them too?

    In the midst of all the turmoil about the winery, Faith is finally letting loose with her painting. Her past is haunting her and she must deal with before she can move on and trust Nick. Some of the sexiest scenes I have ever read will keep you glued to these pages. These two lovers are not shy!

    Once again our author has delivered a gripping series and fans will be thrilled. I definitely recommend this series to all adults out there who love a great mystery with a big dollop of HEAT!

Faith and Nick’s electrifying and passionate story grabbed my attention from the very first scene, with just the right balance of suspense, intrigue, sizzling sex and mounting emotional attachment between the characters, not to mention an impressive insight into the characters’ psyche. Hot, sexy, intense, arrogant, badass attorney Nick” Tiger” Rogers is one hell of a hero, and Faith Winter, the brave owner of the Reid Winter Winery, amazing artist and hunted heroine is his perfect match. Loved the way these two uncommitted individuals, are allowed to grow individually, as well as a couple and how they teach each other the true meaning of ever-lasting, unconditional love and how they were able to come back from their issues and deal with them in a healthy and mature way. I also loved revisiting old characters from the Inside Out series - Sarah and Chris Merit.

    This was truly a delightful read. A superbly crafted story, laced with all the elements I enjoy in my romances and featuring two compelling, complex, multi-layered characters that undeniably belong together. Overall rating for this duet – 4.5 stars.

At the end of the first book Nick found a note written by his late father saying that Faith was even more dangerous than her mother ,not knowing what to make of it ,but one thing was certain deep down he knew she was not a killer . In this the second book Faith and Nicks extremely hot relationship continues to blossom so much so that she decides to move to SanFransisco to be with him ,but all the while the lies and deception on Nicks’s part is weighing heavily on him . Faith’s artistic side also flourishes and she continues to paint , as a result of an earlier showing of her work she is offered to show some more of her work at two prestigious shows . Faith also lands a job with Sara Merit helping her choose work to be displayed at the new gallery that she and her husband Chris Merit is opening . There is so much going on in this story with her horrible ex boyfreind ,her agent , Kasey her manager that she’d left in charge of the winery and her uncle who had had an adulterous relationship with her mother ,that when you think you’d worked out who was behind all the goings on in Faiths life something else would surface leading you in another direction . As with all good stories the lies always come to the surface and when Faith learns Nicks deception and true identity the proverbial does hit the fan and Faith leaves Nick ultimately putting her life in grave danger . Nick is frantically looking for the connection between all that’s happened can he save the day ......... ? Well I think you can guess the answer to that and finally she opens the letter that her father had left for her .
