Claiming His Mate: A Sci-Fi Alien Romance (Fated Mates of the Atari Book 1) Kindle Edition

4.3 out of 5 stars 1,838 ratings

When I get a once-in-a-lifetime chance to go on a luxury space cruise, I jump at it.
This cruise is the beginning of something amazing, and nothing is going to stop me from going.
But when things go wrong shortly after departure, it’s clear I have made a mistake.
Suddenly thrown into a world where I have no way of defending myself, the last thing I expect is an Atari warrior coming to my rescue.
This cruise has been full of surprises…but the Atari is the biggest one of all.
He’s tall, growly, possessive, and he sends my pulse into overdrive with just the slightest look.
Why the heck is my body reacting this way to this stranger?
And did he just declare that I am his mate?

★★★★★
Claiming His Mate is a steamy, standalone, sci-fi alien romance intended for mature readers.

What to Expect: Possessive ‘kill you if you harm my mate’ vibes, a strong heroine who doesn’t let her disability hinder her, a hero that’s good with his tools, danger, suspense, emotion, tension (lots of it), chemistry, flaming hot steamy scenes, fated mates, and a guaranteed HEA.

Aliens who cherish their mates, Earth who rejects its weakest

Aliens who cherish their mates, Earth who rejects its weakest
The first of four books but can be read as stand-alone. Earth has split into the rich and healthy and then the others. A luxury cruise for several hundred women turns out a nightmare, the ship is attacked and almost all are killed. Four women have survived, not knowing of each other. They didn't know the real reason their government offered them this cruise, but the men searching for them know. Interesting in those books are the heroines, all with a health handicap like broken limbs. But they have survived Earth and its horrors and they keep fighting. The Atari, golden aliens destined to be their mates, never give up on them. Great read with the kind of men women dream about, caring and honest. And with women who are strong despite and because of their bodies and experiences.

I truly love AG Wilde and her writing. This was such an intense start to the book, but it definitely had me hooked. It was almost a little gore-ISH with that opening scene. (Think - The Red Wedding)

This was a great scifi romance, no spice until 70% through. Narration was good, first time listening to her as a narrator.

I love this genre of books and this one is one of the best. Quick read, great characters, and the author has a talent for making me feel for these characters in a short amount of time. I much prefer her alien cowboy series, but this is great for filling the gap while I'm waiting for the next book to be released!!

I picked this up when I hear that the heroine has a disability. Marion lost her arm and is offered a spot on a luxury cruise with other women from the lower classes. Things seem sus and they are attacked by aliens. Agnar and his friends are expecting a ship of human women earth has offered but they realise something has gone wrong when they discover dead women. Hope is not lost as four have been taken alive and Agnar goes to rescue Marion. I thought the mate bond was interesting and I liked how a big scary warrior like him was a cinnamon roll for her. I would be interested to read about the other heroines.

I first had the pleasure of reading this in one of the best anthologies I've ever bought "claimed among the stars" . When I saw that the author expanded the story and was turning it into a series I was all in. Just as I remembered it was so excellent. Earth is over populated and it's decided to get rid of those they deem unworthy by sending them off to marry the Antari . The horrible thing is none of the women who board the ship know this they believe they've won a free cruise among the stars. While on route to their destination the ship is attacked and carnage happens only a few are left alive. Aqnar is an Antari warrior on route to find the ship with the human women. What he comes across is absolute devastation. When he watches the video feedback he knows who is responsible and finds out there are a few females that have survived and he is on a mission to find them. Marion is a strong female who is captured on what she believed was a cruise. She is missing an arm but nothing gets in her way she is a fighter. She tries to help her newly made friends but the attackers are to strong and she is taken and sold at an auction. Her only bright spot is that the male who bought her is an honorable Antari warrior. This is where they're story truly starts. Trust is earned ,self worth is questioned but no matter what passion and love does conqueror all. It's an awesome start to a new series! I can't wait for the next book in the series!💖💖🔥💖🔥💖💖🔥💖🔥🔥💖🔥💖🔥💖🔥💖🔥💖🔥💖🔥💖🔥💖💖🔥💖🔥💖🔥💖🔥🔥💖🔥💖🔥💖🔥💖🔥💖🔥💖🔥💖🔥💖🔥💖🔥💖🔥💖🔥💖🔥💖🔥💖🔥💖🔥

This book was really exactly what I love to read with the strong, alpha male, finding his Ari, and rescuing Marion from the horrid other aliens that killed most of the women on that rickety old spaceship. She was supposed to get a cruise for free from the government, but to her horrors, it is not at all what she thought. It would be all the women there were handicapped in someway, but Aqnar found her and vowed too take care of her and Marion is shocked 😮 no one on earth 🌍 ever cared for a defective body. But she feels that she's dreaming but is she? Awesome work

I really appreciate and liked Aqnar but some of the scenarios just didn't make sense for him. He was a wonderful Hero but Marion at times I just didn't like. The drama I could have done without. I guess the explanation of fated mates should have been obvious but in this case there was no explanation of her fears or her even discussing it with him. If she loves him then talk to him. I guess it didn't fit the story to be put in. Also I would like to know is when is making love just plain f******? What happened to all the wonderful words leading up to it and not describing it like it was a senseless act. I have been noticing this more and more with author's that I love. The overall storyline is pretty good and the world building is intriguing. I love the handicaps as the focal point for these women.

A surprising charm sci-fi romance, I enjoyed the inclusivity of a disabled FMC who is adored and never looked upon as lesser. Her insecurities although granted did get touch annoying at times. But worked through and overall nice read

Why amazon insist on 20 words for a review I'll never understand. Especially when I just want to say I enjoyed this book.
