    I voluntarily reviewed a copy of "CODE RED" What an addicting mind-blowing intense action packed mysterious Dark Twisted Mafia Romance, so full of intrigue, suspense, deceit, secrets, lies, betrayal, steam, revenge, angst, battle of wits, lol moments, twists you never saw coming had you turning the pages to the end.
    Reyna Fields has a phenominal outrageous high IQ making her a genius who hacks into virtual systems looking for her mother Maria who disappeared one day without a trace, she ends up hacking into Santino "SAINT" Venturi's database he's a ruthless notorious Mob Boss with no heart, kidnapping her he'd love to kill her if he didn't need her as much as she needs him, so they make a deal to work together, their chemistry is explosive.
    I definitely recommend to get this on the edge of your seat intense mysterious riviting drama so many betrayals, who to trust, keep Reds identity secret, get his revenge on Viktor, no one has seen his face, he's closer than everyone thinks.
    Reyna has files on all the Five Mafia Families putting her in grave danger, Reyna & Saint take you on one wild crazy ride, will they end up getting a HEA, its absolutely a must read you don't want miss, this author did a phenominal job writing this story I didn't want it to end, I love it especially the ending something you never expected, amazing characters that pull you right into all the chaos.

    Code Red by A Marie is the first book I read from this author. It took a bit for me to feel the book but once I did, I enjoyed the ride. This is a mafia romance with a side of hacking.

    Reyna aka Red her hacker persona manages to stumble into a area she shouldn’t have… and that would be mafia boss named Saint. Each have their own agenda but need each other to succeed. This is a very enemies to lovers story, barely able to stand one another but as the story goes that changes. (The best kind, in my opinion. ❤️)

    I really enjoyed the story once it got going. I really liked the characters, the world and most importantly the dynamic between the two. Reyna’s character was a huge hit with me, her strong fierceness. Saint was cold but it was to be expected considered who he is but as the story goes he starts to shed his many layers. I will definitely be checking out the author’s other works. I recommend this is you’re in the mood for a mafia enemies to lovers romance with a good plot and a complete stand-alone.

    I feel conflicted about this book. I was entertained but I wasn't completely grabbed by the story. It took a while for characters to be genuine and there were a lot of angles happening within the story within that story. I did like that the characters where mysterious so it took some time even for the reader to get to know them. PLUS everyone has an agenda when dealing with criminals. So who doesn't love a redeemable bad guy? Saint's cruelty was always up front to cover his vulnerability. And Reyna's potential to be a bad a** boss made me want to encourage her.

    Reyna is a hacker who hacks into virtual systems in her search to find her mother, who mysteriously disappeared, and she hacks into a database for ruthless and cold-hearted Santino / Saint, who is a mob boss. These two are forced to work together for her to find her mom, and with him seeking vengeance. Can these two move on from enemies / lovers? This is a well written story, which is action packed, emotional roller coaster, with suspense, danger, intrigue, mystery, romance, twists, and is a tragic, steamy, unpredictable, and entertaining page turner which is not for the faint-at-heart.
    I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

    This book demanded considerable mental effort read and I found myself skipping sections or just glancing over paragraphs upon paragraphs just to get to a more interesting part of the story. Despite the author's evident dedication, I found the storytelling to be inconsistent and fragmented. The male protagonist lacked appeal, and the portrayal of the female lead felt erratic, particularly in scenes romanticizing coercive intimacy. Despite the mafia backdrop, the chemistry between the main characters failed to be executed in an effective way. There's a clear need for deeper character development, for all characters. The plot twist towards the end felt lack luster and failed to deliver a meaningful impact. Moreover, the relationship between Reyna and her mother felt superficial, undermining emotional investment. The predictable revelation of the antagonist further weakened the narrative's originality. The frequent oscillation between animosity and sudden affection didn't contribute to the story's depth. Instead, authentic attraction and connection between the leads would have been more compelling. Additionally, Reyna's supposed outsmarting of the villain undermined his credibility, highlighting the need for better narrative development. While recognizing the author's effort, the book could greatly benefit from thorough editing to refine its structure, deepen characterizations, and enhance plot coherence.

    Code Red had my full attention from the very beginning. The mystery, suspense, action, and jaw dropping moments, had me flipping pages at max speed. I couldn’t read this book fast enough. It was so addictive!
