- Reviewed in the United States on July 15, 2013It is such a pity that more church organisations and even banks are distributing this book for free to those who need assistance with managing their finances. If this had been done sooner the national economy of each country could have been so positive in outlook and even the global fiscal growth would have been in double-digit figures for 2012/3.
Basically the book opens up one's eyes and the conscience in matters linked to keeping any financial promise one makes to pay a creditor what is due to them on time. It then helps one establish a budget based on needs after servicing their debts (and not every desire they see to keep up with their better-off friend). Once the family is becoming cash positive the book helps them get priorities to save and then purchase large items responibly with the use of financial institutions that can now trust them. Once the family is getting the process correct the book opens the family's eyes to caring for those less fortunate than themselves and in so doing further curbs unwanton spending.
Yes the book is based on the Christian religion. Yes the book is based on principles in the Bible. Yes the book is only a guide to get back to what is most important in terms of personal-; family- and societal- values.
The book will remain just head knowlegde unless the principles therein are implemented practically as you read each chapter. It is when it is made a reality that one sees the changes coming quick and positive.
A MUST READ for everyone globally!
- Reviewed in the United States on October 14, 2015An excellent book on handling finances in accordance with Biblical principles. It cleared my misconception on tithing and reminded me that God is the source and everything else are only channels for His blessings including my job. Highly recommend to anyone who would like to manage their finance according to the Bible.
- Reviewed in the United States on July 17, 2020We've been reading this together as husband and wife at night. It has inspired hours of conversation and more open communication about finances. Thank you for writing, teaching and inspiring us to live Kingdom economics.
- Reviewed in the United States on April 14, 2013Great writing, easy to read, great biblical principles that truely work. I started tithing, gave all of my first bonus of the year and soon received a job offer from a friend. I wasnt looking for a job but he had an opening and approached me and asked me to apply. I got the job and a $13,000 a year increase in pay. My husband was unemployed for 4 months and his union called him back for work. The Lord is faithful when we are faithful.
- Reviewed in the United States on March 7, 2014I have been in financial hardship due to my own faults and this book has given me insight on what I thought was my problem, however I found out it went much more deeper then I could have imagined. This book is a blessing and opened my eyes to more then I had realized. I can honestly say I have not truly understood the true source of finances ( sparrow ) until I read this book.
- Reviewed in the United States on February 28, 2013This is an outstanding book with some powerful concepts. Being a financial planner and Christian for more than 25 years I thought I'd pretty much seen it all when it comes to money management type books - but this one is in a league of it's own, with a great mix of practical and spiritual content. I highly recommend it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Tithe FIRST
Wealth, Riches & Money: God’s Biblical Principles of Finance by Craig Hill and Earl Pitts is, as the title says, biblically inspired. I don’t consider myself a Christian, more so, spiritual, but I found they made some intelligent, sensible points.
Such as, tithe first, get out of debt, avoid situations of having to pay interest – which they consider just money down the drain, or having a money bag with a hole in the bottom providing leakage of one’s hard-earned money, and creating a ‘closed-circle’ budget. This was one of the most profound points they made. I took a lot of time studying this concept, and am still working on what my closed-circle budget will look like…
Overall, a great book with great budgeting and financial principles and how to use them.
I highly recommend it.
