    I don't usually read romance - and I had no idea mafia romance was even a thing - but I can say that like a true romance novel, this author brings us to the juicy brink, teasing out the relationship with enticing physicality, mental torture, obsession and deep love. I felt like the book tapped into a fantasy that many women have but few care to admit: the longing to be taken care of, obsessed over, every need accommodated, and not a single financial worry in the world. Call me romantic, I guess ;)

    Valerius meets Adaliya on what could possibly be the worst night of her life. He handles things for her and they go their separate ways. Six years later and they’re back in each other’s lives and enter into a marriage of convenience.

    I overall enjoyed reading this story. Both main characters were easy to like. And the story was good enough to keep my interest.

    There were some things that I wasn’t sure were needed, like there were so many people involved in the plot, I didn’t get to really hate them the way I wanted except Noah and her father because they were weaved as villains from the beginning. It was so long before Sofia shows back up and that plot line have any impact that I started to question why it was there other than to add to his needing a bride. Also what happened to Johnny? I’m assuming they dealt with him but it’s not mentioned. Also I would’ve liked to seen how he dealt with Noah.

    I think this is the author’s first book and overall it was good read, I’ll be checking out more of her work in the future.

    This is the story of the Don and his Angel. Valerius Cafarelli and his men helped Adaliya Solarin during a traumatic occurrence. The pair meet six years later and enter into a mutually beneficial contract. Along the way they fall in love despite the numerous people working to tear them apart. The story is engaging from beginning to end. The sexual tension between Valerius and Adaliya is well written. The supporting characters are equally engaging. I can't wait to read about Salvatore and Naya's story. I hope the author writes stories about Nero and Kamara as well. Read the story to find out if Valerius & Adaliya decide to make the contract permanent or go their separate ways? I highly recommend this story. This will definitely be on my re-read list.

    I rarely find a new author these days that not only have a good story and the amount of erotic spice I like so this was a pleasant surprise. Can't wait to read the next book from this author and hope this becomes a series.

    I enjoyed the book as the story was interesting and well written.
    Valerius was the perfect mafia boss although his biggest flaw was his obsession for keeping Adaliya “pure”. This attitude was completely misguided given that he was a mob boss. She needed training in the working of the life and in self defense.
    My main gripe with the book is how the women were written. Let’s start with Adaliya. She was very judgmental and mouthy. The whole I’m an independent women doesn’t work if you can’t read the room. On more than one occasion, she put herself and others in danger for her self righteousness instead of being cautious and trying to navigate the culture. She was also very immature. Someone approches you with a video and instead of talking to your husband, you have a tantrum and go out barely dressed to a club? Childish and disrespectful to her husband, the Don. Her keeping Noah’s blackmail to herself whilst her husband has the means to deal with it was also bizarre.
    As for Naya, why did the author thought it was ok to have her basically insult a Don, whist she knows the consequences? Salvatore or not, she needs to suffer for the Insult.

    This book truly was so much fun to read beginning to end. I loved the way thr author paced the story. I know some people said it didn’t really pick up until the last 1/3 (which I dont disagree with)the was done was exceptionally wrll. We got a solid base for each character, their motivattions, bit it also allowed the reader to speculate about how everything would come to the climax and be resolved.

    The writing style is addictive and the world was rich with depth and excitement. There were a few editing erros to no fault of the author especially since this was her first book. I cannot wait to keep reading her and see where her next story takes us with Salvatore and Naya
