Thaddeus Cutter is gutting fish for a living, and only barely at that. And then he gets a chance that leads him to some very dark places. I enjoyed this story because Thaddeus is a great character. I did miss the more normal Kapamentis cast of characters and I did find it very dark. Very few authors would keep me reading, but here it works. I had a hard time putting it done once I started.
