Stolen Heart was the book I had big expectations about and let me tell you that each one of them was met. I devoured this story in about 2 days and I loved every single page of it. Bodyguard romance? If you haven't read this trope yet this is the sign for you to change this. Castle is probably one of the best, the grumpiest and the hottest bodyguard you will meet in books. Age gap? In a very long time I did not read this captivating book with this trope. Callie and Castle fit so well. M a f i a? At this point I can genuinely say that Jagger Cole writes it just the way it should be written. There are v i o l e n t scene, mysteries and plot twists. There are also hot scenes, a lot of t e n s i o n and b a n t e r between main characters. Callie is the heroine who is strong, confident and definitely knows what she is worth. Being f o r c e d to marry the man three times her age did not stop her to pursue the dreams she always had. And one of her biggest dreams was for Castle, her best friend's older brother, to see her not as his little sister's friend but the woman she truly is. Callie exactly knows how to bring men to theirs knees, and even though Castle fights the feeling and pull between them at first, there is not a word "impossible" in Callie's dictionary. Being named after the muse of “eloquence, epic poetry, and harmony of voice”, Callie literally couldn't be more different from her. Her tongue is sharp, her eloquence is nonexistent, as she is not an obedient wife who will stay locked at home. But even though she might not be a singer or a poet she still became every inch Castle's muse. Castle is the hero like no other I've ever read. He is t o r t u r e d and h a u n t e d by the c r u e l past, which could not leave him. At the same time his heart is also like no other's. It's so big, it holds so much compassion and love, which he did not know at first how to understand. Castle never truly experienced peace. His whole live was about s u r v i v i n g. Growing in an a b u s i v e family, losing his friends in front of his own eyes, were what taught him how to hide and never show his true feelings. And, yes, he had them all the time, deep in his soul. The way he experience said feeling for the first time was something which made my heart so full and happy. And not only because of him but foremost because it was Callie who woke it in him. I admired Callie&Castle's relationship, they push and pulls and I was looking forward to what will happen to them on the next page. Stolen Hearts definitely became one of my favorite mafia romances. When I read mafia it must be good, entertaining, v i o l e n t and mysterious. You can find everything of these in this book. Callie&Castle were everything I expected from them and at the same time they surprised me in so many ways. Cannot wait to see them again in Deimos' story. And so f r e a k i n g exited for this Drakos brother.
