He challenged her sanity.

She shattered his reality.

They dared each other...to the brink of madness.

A dark and twisted maze awaits criminal psychologist London Noble when she falls for her patient, convicted serial killer, Grayson Pierce Sullivan. As she unravels the traps, her sanity tested with each game, she's forced to acknowledge the true evil in the world around her.

Born, Madly

A buried past is unearthed, and Grayson Sullivan--AKA The Angel of Maine--retaliates against the system who made him, deploying psychological warfare on the woman who initially set him free. WOW. wow. WOW.I’m feeling all the emotions.I randomly stumble across this book on Kindle Unlimited. The synopsis did not give too much, but the reviews convinced me to give it a try. On thanksgiving morning, I purchased the audiobook. I can read and listen while cooking for my entire extended family.I was not ready. This book will mess with your psyche.Grayson is a convicted serial killer—a vigilante killer. It’s like Dexter and Saw made a baby. That is Grayson Sullivan. He is genius level complex.London is a criminal psychologist that treats the minds of twisted criminals prior to their trials. She will either testify in their favor or not. With a dark past, she has a tough outer shell. Her latest patient is a serial killer- Grayson.I don’t want to give much away, but listen to me when I say READ. THIS. BOOK. Trisha did her research. It was absolutely incredible.

This was one of the most captivating reads I have picked up this year! So eloquently written, suspenseful, lustful, and enthralling. The author even had me fearing reading to the end! It took me a week to finish just because I was afraid of what was to happen to our power couple. It's Joker and Harley type love, if they got a hold of Batman's money and gadgets. There's some Jigsaw vibes too which just makes it awesome!

Grayson, you can't hate him at all! Yes he's a serial killer, and even though he admits his choice of victims is based more on attempting to avoid getting caught, he's still playing a hero. With a very Saw Movie type feel, he chooses the scum of the earth, those who have met and been freed from the justice system. Those who should be punished but weren't, he creates traps for them. They have the ability to face what they have done and escape but most do not. Unlike Dr. London Noble. She passes her test but this could be partially due to his love/ infatuation for her. He's dark, he's brooding. and he's sexy as hell. His character build was done phenomenally. Never giving to much at one time.

Dr. London Noble. Dear lord the secrets she holds, even from herself. While she suffers from her own mental illnesses she's not the "I'm here to save the world" type of therapist. You can't help but love her just as much as our Anti-hero Grayson. She's just as dark as he is. Also suffering a dark past that only is revealed once Grayson comes into her life. Her back story is just as dark as our killer and makes you wonder if this is how real serial killers are made. She's a strong woman, no victim mentality here. She courageous, daring, intelligent and just as dark as Grayson. These two really are perfect for each other like Jigsaw pieces!

There are a lot of twists and turns, moment's you're holding your breath and for me, moments I was terrified to even pick the book backup. Not due to actual fear, but you'll understand when you get to the Prologue on book 2! Otherwise I really couldn't put it down! Book 1 I finished in a day, book 2 took a week of me slowly peeking at each chapter terrified the prologue was the actual ending!

A fantastic combination of intelligent writing, characters, and plot. Trisha Wolfe strings together my favorite type of read lately where you are really trying to work out, with anticipation, what will happen next and being surprised more than expected; all with spice and intrigue, and a brilliant badass fmc!

Book one was great, a psychological warfare of sane vs insane… or is it?
When dr Nobel meets Grayson, you know convicted serial killer who awaits sentencing, she is instantly drawn to him. The tension of fighting what you know is wrong warring between what you want? Hot. Book one was fast and sexy and alluring… book two was slow, drawn out and not sexy. Almost felt like two different writers honestly. But I finished it because that’s what you do 🤷🏻‍♀️. Overall not my favorite.

So this is an omnibus of a duology already out. I personally preferred reading it this way, especially knowing I didn't have to wait for another book to come out.
London and Grayson are so ... *interesting*. They are good little adjoining puzzle pieces, lock and key, a spicy peanut butter and jelly. And there is one scene that has *no* business being as hot as it is.
If you like crime, unalivers, the dark and twisty with some spice... definitely give it a look.

I absolutely DEVOURED this book! It was amazingly written and I could not put it down. Normally in any book I read I can usually predict certain situations or even endings from a mile away.. this book had so many plot twists and so many twists and turns I could not predict a single thing!! It took me on the most amazing wild ride and without any spoilers. The ending was just absolutely insane and amazing! If you love a psychological thriller with tons of twists and turns in a tiny dusting of some good smut, this book is 100% for you!!

A criminal psychologist falling for her patient and being dragged into his delusion only to be faced with the truths of her own sordid past and mental illness… I’m here for it. Grayson and London are so toxic for not only each other but to themselves, but are drawn together like moths to a stabby flame.
Am I crazy? Are they crazy? ARE WE ALL A LITTLE MAD HERE?

I love everything Trisha Wolfe does and this is no exception. An insightful, psychological murder mystery romance for the ages. And the duet hard copy is 🤌

4.0 out of 5 stars What a game!

This book absolutely blew my mind, at the beginning I honestly felt so stupid, as I needed to get into their headspace.
Once I did get into their way of thinking, I was hooked!

The storyline is so unique and has so many twists and turns, it’ll keep you guessing throughout the whole book. It had Joker/Harley Quinn vibes.. but also had the movie Saw vibes which had me SHOOK!! This would be a selling point, all on its own, absolutely loved that!

Personally I do think it could have been shorter because some of the inner monologue was excessive, but I think that it’s intentional because Grayson is a psychopath, so it’s the way his brain works.

I loved Grayson and London, they both bring out their true selves and there is no need to hide.
Grayson made London face who she really was a reveal all the truths that she had buried deep inside and no longer remembered.
London frees Grayson from the walls that he has built up and the fear of what he could become.
They are such a unique match but I absolutely loved them.

Personally I feel Grayson was doing an absolute service and his victims got exactly what they deserved 💁🏼‍♀️

Really enjoyed this book and can’t wait to read more by this author 🖤
