Author Bio:

Award-winning author Tina Hogan Grant was born in England and moved to the States in 1979. After moving to California, she became a commercial fisherwoman and spent ten years fishing off the southern coast of California with her husband Gordon. After retiring from fishing, they moved to a small mountain community in CA and spent the next ten years building their dream home, doing most of the work themselves.

Grant enjoys writing suspense romances, stories with strong female characters who know what they want and aren't afraid to chase their dreams.

When Grant is not lost in her world of writing she enjoys riding ATVs, hiking and discovering new trails, and going on long road trips.

Grant's book Better Endings won a gold medal award for Best Fiction Adventure 2020

    I like this as an introduction or prequel to the sabela series I didn't feel the love between the 2 main characters but we will see what happens in the next book I feel this one may be just for context and background like I said we shall see

    This was a quick read and a prequel to The Sabela series. The story shows how Sabela and Davin met. I don’t really understand why Sabela continued to go out with him, and more, when she knew he wasn’t her type and knew she didn’t love him. She saw how infatuated he was with her from the beginning and let it continue. It was an enjoyable read.

    Davin is the start of this series written by Brit author Tina Hogan Grant. Sabela meets Davin and moves quickly into a questionable relationship. Written from Sabela point of view it’s questionable if this is truly a relationship for either of them. Grant brings the story quickly moving yet going nowhere for these 2 personalities. I can see where it’s moving into a series that I will totally enjoy following! A great, moving story as an intro to a moving series I plan to read and follow!

    DAVIN is a great teaser for the Sabela series. Tina Hogan Grant gives a great introduction to the characters and the general mood for her series.
    The story is told from Sabela’s point-of-view. She is a dental assistant who moved home with her mother after her father’s death. She wants to escape the monotony of her life, and Davin provides the perfect excuse. Sabela is not completely attracted to Davin, and she tries to keep emotionally distant since he will be leaving in six months.
    I enjoyed the short introduction to the characters. I hope to read SLATER soon.
    I recommend DAVIN for experienced readers who enjoy romance and unexpected affairs.

    This is a great pre-sequel to a wonderful series. It’s small yet really sets you up for the next five books. You need to read it just to understand the troubled mind of Davin.
