I'm battling sleep the entire way up the stairs. I'm a little surprised to find my door open and steam wafting from the en suite bathroom when I reach my master bedroom. I'm even more surprised to find the tub filled to the brim, scented oil skimming the surface of the water and swirling around the giant of a man filling the space.

Ares stares at me as I shed my clothes, and his heated stare is a sensual caress against my skin. His gaze is glued to the healing brands over my chest and my upper arm. We lock eyes, and I see the question there. But he doesn't want to ask it now. He can't handle it, and neither can I. Not today. Not when we have already dealt with so much of the heavy stuff. A shiver works its way through me at the thought of what he will be facing, and bile swims up my throat.

"Come here," he says in a deep, commanding tone while he rests his muscular tattooed arms on the side of the tub and sits up straighter, making room for me.

Water sloshes over the edge as I get into the bath, gingerly lowering myself down in between his legs. A moan slips from my lips as the warm water soothes my aches and pains. I lean back against him, drawing comfort and warmth from the strength of his body behind me. His hard length nudges against me, inviting my libido to come out to play.

"Ares?" I tilt my head back and up so I'm looking at him. "I'm not going to ask if you're okay, because that's a stupid question, but what can I do?"

His jaw clenches as his eyes darken with unspoken need. His eyes are more brown than green today with those little amber flecks I'm so fascinated with. We move as one, and our mouths collide in a feverish kiss as his hands roam my body. His tongue prods the seam of my lips, and I open for him, our tongues immediately tangling as his fingers skate over my belly to cup me.

"This," he murmurs, briefly breaking our lip-lock. "This is what you can do."

Wow Omg.. Some of the words that come to mind as well as HOT, STEAMY, and MIND BLOWING!!! Siobhan Davis did an amazing job with DCB2. Well written and had me on the edge of my seat from Book One!! This story has the Rydeville Elite meets Sainthood RH. Ashley and her guys are in this "CRAZY BAD" world that has you wanting to know what is coming next. Some events in the story was hard to read but it made the story. Ash and the guys made you have all the feels. I cried, boy did i cry in some parts. Some tears were from sadnes and some of joy. There were times I had to take a step away to process what I just read. IT WAS THAT CRAZY!!! Siobhan did not disappoint when it come to the mind blowing twist and turns of this story. When you think you know what is going to happen you're hit with a new twist you did not see coming!! This series is now my new favorite. You have to read this to story and you will not be disappointed!!

    Secrets, lies and betrayals that you don’t even see coming bring us to the conclusion of Ashley’s story. We pick up where book 1 left off and we get plenty of answers to questions we were left hanging with from book 1’s cliffhanger ending.

    Ashley, Chad, Jase and Ares must swallow their pride to keep the ones they love safe. They will also have to face some horrific moments that will make them stronger together as a team. We also get lots of hot sexy steamy bits that will have you drooling and wishing you were Ashley.

    Ares struggles with a lot in this one and we learn more about him and his moms backstory.
    We also get a glimpse at some of the side characters that truly make you hope we see them in a future book!

    So many twists, turns and revelations that will shock you. The build up to the explosive ending was some of the best world building I’ve read. We also get to see some characters from the Sainthood series and I can never get enough of them.

    This is a dark romance and it has some triggering moments so please read the trigger warnings before reading this duet.

I didn't understand what everyone loved so much about the fmc. 2 of the harem she fell in love with off the books so maybe that's why nothing seemed like true love. There were soooooo many different major storylines that nothing felt complete or made total sense. I think the author lost track sometimes. If you like Siobam books then it's worth the read but won't be your favorite likely. The spice was a 10, the love story was a 3 or 4, the story itself was a 3 because it seemed disjointed and soooooo much was contradictory. I wouldn't read this again but it was worth reading

    Wrapping up my last read of 2022 was the best of the year! I absolutely loved the action packed twists and turns that Ashley, Jase, Chad and Ares encountered. It was like you get content with everything, them boom it changes.

    Ares, really stepped up and was the one always there for Ash. He was reluctant at first to share, yet couldn’t leave her….. haha like the first wedding night!!!! 😂.

    Ultimately, all four of them came together to take down the secret society, which they all get stuck a part of in a very twisted way, that’s for sure. I absolutely loved the bromances that emerged as a result of this shit hole they found themselves in.

    I can’t say much else with out giving away spoilers but damn. I couldn’t get enough and it’s done way too soon!! We got appearances from Lo and her men again too! Loved. Every. Minute. I definitely wouldn’t mind getting more books from the side characters such as Bree, Baz and Knight!

    This was an excellent conclusion for this duet. I have not only read the ebook, but listened to the audiobook. I love how Siobhan Davis brings in characters from previous series. To see Lo and the boys again, even if briefly, was heartwarming. This book was full of suspense and revelations. There were scenes that made me sick to my stomach. Hearing it was even harder. I had to take a break. Others times I was cheering and laughing. I teared up as well. So many emotions. I was so invested in the relationship between Jase, Chad, Ares, and Ashley. I was grinning from ear to ear at the end. I have grown to love all these characters and look forward to the next book! Hopefully that will be Bree and Knight's story with these guys making appearances!

    Michael Gallagher and Ramona Master are excellent narrators. Both are favorites of mine. They bring this audiobook to life with emotional performances that completely pulled me into the story. It was perfection.

    This was a duet of carnage, love, power and plot twists never seen coming.
    Ashley’s relationship with Chad and Jase is only what I can describe as something deep and powerful and was amazing, throw in the pain in the arse step brother Ares in the mix and they got their hea.

    Ares I feel like we got to see a different side to him in this second book.
    Chad is a character I bow down to esp after his story and that man and his love for Ashley was everything.
    Jase was one easy down to earth, happy happy but boy can his temper switch and his love for Ashley.
    These guys were the best, each brought something to the table and everyone was 100% for Ashley.

    I’ve absolutely loved this Duet, it’s been a surprise and definitely I’ve been surprised and shocked a lot too. It definitely wasn’t what I was expecting when I came across Ashley getting her story with her men. It’s been a turn over of events that never would of seen coming.
    Also Harlow and her hubbies made a few surprise visits too which was a nice touch. Her rep still carries on even though she doesn’t live there anymore.

    It’s been a very dark and traumatic duet but it’s also been fun and action packed too.
    It’s a story that has your full attention, it’s binge worthy and addictive. I’ve loved every minute and I’m gutted it’s over.

    Such a fantastic book, we continue where we left our characters after that cliffhanger in the first book. There’s so much happening in the books you have to pay attention to keep up with all the sub plots. This is full on action from start to finish. There’s even more revelations in this one as the plot thickens and Ash and the guys start to work together now they know what Carter wants from them.
    Ares has a difficult time in this book, really feel for him, the relationship he has with Ash is a complicated one. He’s my favourite of her guys, so love the illicit step-brother thrill. This book has plenty spice, loving the scenes with Chad and Jase.
    Great to see Harlow, her guys and Diesel with VERO making an appearance.
    So happy the evil Rhett and Cleo meet untimely ends, really loathed their characters. The way Siobhan’s written this book really immerses you in the story and makes it believable. Wonder if Bree will get her own book, there’s a story there between her and Knight.

    This book was spicyyyyyy as hell 🔥🌶️🍆😈

    A lot was packed in this book with twists and turns, crazy and deliciously hot smutty scenes that were incredible but irritating (insert DP wedding night scene) LOL. I do think that this was worth the hype as it was jam packed with stories inside of the main story and there was so many little details that I wasn’t expecting that made it a good read.

    I mean especially with Ares, holy heck yes! Ares was the main man for me in the whole story because he came in and brought constant banter, raw emotion and incredible love into it. He was after the men who
    Took his sister but fell in love and opened up a whole new world for himself after he didn’t think he deserved anything. My god we needed more though!!

    Everything going on with Chad made my heart break for him and I get that this made part of it but I do wish it wasn’t part of it. Not only did he suffer SA at the hand of that crazy MF, he lost his girl and then became the second man and Jade jumped in front. It just made my heart hurt a little because Jase was hot and well equipped with the whole “other world” rubbish and sacrificed things blah blah blah but I wish he didn’t become her first in that situation? (Probs sound like I’m rambling) He was a favourite but annoyed me a lot too.

    Now with that said, I am only going to give this a 4 star review and for a few good reasons…
    1 being the ending, like really? All of this just for that and a brief overview of the “now” when it could have been a little more detailed with some explanations.
    2 being her mother, what da freak is that rubbish? Completely left field as I was fully expecting her to come in and sacrifice herself for her daughter and their family/friends but she was in love with the nut job? It was like this was made up in a last ditch effort when it shouldn’t have been. No, no and no!! (Now thinking about it, it’s actually realllllllly annoyed me more the I liked to admit lol)
    3 being the WORST OF THEM ALL that there is that we were left hanging on the possible love story of Bree and Knight when there are no plans to make a book on these two lovebirds or Baz😢 WHY NOT HIVE THEM THEIR HAPPY ENDING THEN😭😭😭💔😠
