Another Silence Jones hit by Erik Carter. What an underrated series. Villains and likable characters throughout plus a lot of twists and turns! Can't wait for the next book! Loving this series and Carter's writing!

All of these stories in the series keep you riveted until the very end. That’s why it’s so easy to read them in one sitting. My only complaint that I’ve mentioned before is that I really do wish he would move on from his murdered fiancé, but then again, maybe the author wants that to stay an intrinsic part of Silence’s personality.

The plot moved along to where you thought the bad guys were counterfeiters but they were really money laundering on a massive scale interesting concept. But I really liked the new character that has been entered into the series I hope that he has a part in the next book paladin. There used to be a western by that name also.

Silence Jones, though unique, still needs to eat. In a small-town diner, he discovers that not all small towns foster a sense of community, instead, he finds that this town is plagued by corruption and evilness. Silence endeavors to protect himself from the retaliatory actions of the Watchers, who enforce strict rules and vigilantly observe him, all while attempting to rescue this community.

The author, Erik Carter continues to captivate readers with gripping action and adventure in his Silence Jones Action Thriller series. In each successive book, Erik Carter provides readers with a deeper understanding of the character Silence Jones. This book offers a more profound insight into the character and personality of Silence Jones. The dialogue and storyline move forward seamlessly and effortlessly under Erik Carter's skillful writing. I thought the blending in of Paladine and their relationship was well done!

The narrator, Gary Bennett, is a fantastic voice actor. Among his numerous performances, it is this one that stands out as my favorite. He convincingly portrays Silence Jones and brings each character to life thus captivating the audience. His delivery is steady and flows effortlessly. He is Silence Jones!

This is by far my favorite book to date, and I am eager to see if Silence will stand firm in his beliefs and challenge the Watchers! I suspect this is just the beginning! Highly recommend! Lots of action, adventure, and suspense!

There were no issues with the quality or production of this audiobook.

I just loved 'Didn't Speak'! I was totally engrossed from the first page onward. I have a lot of admiration for Silence's character and for what he does, in the name of justice. He really does not have an easy life. Anyone who loves a good thriller should read this book. It truly deserves five stars.

This is a great series about an assassin who works for a shadow organisation that right the wrongs of the justice system. In this story Silence is passing through a small town to visit a museum but there's something wrong about the town and soon Silence is neck deep in trouble in what is an excellent and exciting story with a shocking revelation near the end. Loved it.

5.0 out of 5 stars What a thriller
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on May 1, 2023
Silence is drawn into local matters, despite the warning of his prefect, when he stops off at a diner for breakfast in a small town called Malvern in Arkansas. This was after the dumping of the body of a young man on his mother's front lawn as a warning for asking too many questions. When a group of men start going off on the boy's ex-stepfather, Silence steps in to break things up and soon it becomes clear that something is off about this small town.

Cue an intriguing story of counterfeit money, money laundering, sex abuse, corrupt police, a mysterious Columbian, a mysterious foreigner who works for Lemarr and a town cowered in fear of a man called Royce Lemarr. Silence soon gets into the middle of things and as usual, there's a lot of action, violence and basically a story of right versus wrong with Silence determined to make things right and find the dead boy's missing girlfriend. A truly riveting read that once you start, you won't want to put down. I love this series and look forward to each new instalment and this was no exception. Roll on book 9.
