The Dragon Dance (Fairytale Mates Book 8) Kindle Edition

4.5 out of 5 stars 588 ratings

Dating employees is forbidden... but what if fate has other plans?

Samson has the hottest boss in the world and that's just a fact. Working as a server at The Rising Dragon for years has done nothing to stifle his crush—it's only made it worse. But Samson can't afford to lose his job, so he bottles up his feelings and hopes Darcy never catches him blushing.

After all, Samson can never repay the kindness Darcy showed him five years ago. So why jeopardize things by confessing his love to an alpha he knows won't reciprocate?

With no mate to call his own, Darcy's restaurant is his only pride and joy. But that doesn't stop his dragon soul from acting possessive over a certain favorite server. Yet as much as Darcy craves it, he can't sweep Samson off his feet. He's an employee: AKA, off-limits.

But when trouble comes for Samson, Darcy saves him—just like he did five years ago. And this time, he can't hold his true feelings back anymore.

The Dragon Dance is a sweet and fluffy 20k mpreg novella featuring a human omega, an alpha dragon shifter, and love that breaks the boundaries. It is a standalone with no cheating and an HEA.

Samson gets rescued by Darcy not once but twice. The first was five years before then one evening going work this guy his parents tried force him to marry shows up to drag him off and Darcy comes in all his dragon glory before stopping the guy from taking Samson.

That's only real drama in this the rest is cute and self pinning until they admit their feelings. Its same formula as the other books. I was disappointed that the baby wasn't born or rather egg laid in this book. Was cute and sex was hot like always.

Samson has loved his boss Darcy for the last five years. Dragon-shifter Darcy has always felt protective of this young human who works as a server in his restaurant. Enjoy how Samson and Darcy meet, face a crisis, and revel in each other after full disclosure!!!

I love it! The characters aren't engaging, the story interesting and I can't wait for what's next! The only thing I wish is that it was about twice as long! It moves so fast and it would be wonderful to read about the baby more!

I wish one of these stories had a surprise pregnancy or oopsie baby. Like yea you know it's a possibility but you don't discuss it beforehand because you're so caught up in the romantic moment. It doesn't occur until afterwards or a few days later. Heaven knows it happens all the time in real life.

Darcy is a dragon alpha. Sammy a human omega. Sammy has been working for Darcy for 5 years. Sammy has been crushing on his boss from afar since the beginning. Feeling ignite when Darcy figures out Sammy is his Fated Mate. Heat explodes, stolen kisses and steamy scenes make this book one of my favorites.

A very quick easy read. Not anything remarkable or memorable about it. Don't know that I'll read any more from this series though

I was annoyed with the characters, I felt like it was built up for nothing and it drove me up the wall if anything this should have been the second book so I didn't have such high expectations. It was bad compared to the others and I regret reading it.

Another easy read. Great for lunch break with a sweet couple. The ending was very abrupt though which was disappointing.
