- Reviewed in the United States on February 24, 2025Note to self: do not continue
So much deus ex machina. So much nonsense that the MC calls people out for, then does worse himself. I haven't read a book where I disliked the MC and his character arc more in a long time.

5.0 out of 5 stars a good read
It gives what readers of the genre want and a bit more. Would easily recommend for new LitRPG readers, albeit the system got a bit confusing at time

5.0 out of 5 stars absolutely brilliant!
This is by far one of the best fantasy books I have ever had the pleasure to read! Drake, is the man! He is put into a tutorial type world were only the strong survive! Full of action, comedy in parts, and one hell of a story! I cannot recommend this book to much, five stars, but I would give it ten if I could!

1.0 out of 5 stars Can't get past the intro
Not sure what audience this book is designed for but I'm certainly not it. The intro is terrible it's super generic and has absolutely horrendous dialogue, not sure if it is likely to get better with 900ish pages and I'm not sticking around to find out.

3.0 out of 5 stars This really needs an editor.
I'll say this for it, this story is a wild ride through the openings of a System Apocalypse Tutorial. There's random class & skill assignments, not to mention Quest rewards, and an MC who's just a little crazy. There's also waaaay more references to anime and video games than is good for anyone's mental health.
There's just one problem.
The text.
It's full of mis-spellled words, like "Ootpost"; intentionally mis-spelled words, like "anotha"; sentences with no spaces between punctuation; and my pet peeve, using "lighting" when you mean "lightning"!
If this was properly edited, and all of these issues cleaned up, this would be a fun start to a long series, but as it is, only read it if you're desperate for another LITRPG System Apicalypse Tutorial story, with a LOT of Anime references.
