Edge of Temptation (The Saints of Westmont U Book 1) Kindle Edition
He was my first sin. My first love. And he’s about to ruin me all over again.
Easton
Some men ruin you slowly. Others break you all at once.
Jace was never supposed to be in my life again. Not after what he did. Not after they took him away.
But he’s here, standing in my doorway with a smirk that makes my pulse trip and my gut clench.
He needs a place to stay. I should slam the door in his face.
Instead, I let him in.
Enemies. Exiles. Rivals. Lovers?
This isn’t a love story. This is a disaster waiting to happen.
And I can’t wait for the impact.
Jace
He wants me gone. I want him begging. Let’s see who wins.
Easton never knew what to do with me.
He wanted to fight me. He wanted to kiss me.
Now that I’m back, he’s still pretending he can resist.
Cute.
But I know him too well. I know the way his breathing changes when I get close.
I know how his body reacts before his brain can catch up.
I know exactly how to break him.
And I will.

- Reviewed in the United States on March 28, 2025I loved how different this book was from what I am used to from Hayden. Jace and Easton were both broken from their childhood. No one should have to deal with the situation they were in. I am glad they found their way back to each other in the end because I truly think they always loved each other. There were a lot of characters that were not so great in this one. It will ve interesting to see if they can be redeemed in the future. They thing I loved about Jace is how he just wanted to protect Easton from any pain or trauma. He was the sweetest bad boy. Easton was kind of selfish at times but he figured it out in the end. Loved it and am intrigued for the next one.
- Reviewed in the United States on March 27, 2025Jace and Easton have a contentious relationship.
They were both adopted by horrible people who pitted them against one another and then just disposed of one in favor of the other.
They both need one another, but it's toxic and possessive.
The mutual animosity between them is really just sizzling hot chemistry and UST.
Together, they help each other heal the broken boys they still are in order to get their HEA.
- Reviewed in the United States on April 13, 2025Thank you for the book, here is my honest opinion:
3.5⭐️This was such a promising premise. Easton and Jace are adoptive brothers, who grew up in the same home but with two very different experiences. Their parents treat Easton like the perfect golden child but Jace is mistreated and untimely exiled from the family at sixteen. I did enjoy the relationship between Easton and Jace, I liked the possessive nature of their connection and together they are a complicated and compelling pair. This had a bit more drama and angst than most other books I’ve read from this author, but overall it was well done. I would have appreciated more time spent on the team dynamics as that is a big part of Easton’s life. I felt that the most interesting parts were rushed and glossed over- like the epilogue. I would have loved seeing that part, Easton and Jace trying to figure out what life together looks like. Maybe in the next book, looking forward to what comes next.
- Reviewed in the United States on April 8, 2025It doesn't matter if you're true siblings or not. IT IS THERE! Who is going to believe who. In this book, I got the feeling that the people who adopted these boys shouldn't have been parents. They wanted the perfect kids. Unfortunately, the first one wasn't it, so treat the second differently. Thank goodness both the boys figured it later in life, that the parents were at fault. THANK YOU, HAYDEN! ENJOY!
- Reviewed in the United States on March 27, 2025Hayden Hall’s newest book is something a bit different from him. It’s darker, edgier, heavier. And I’m here for it!
Easton is the good boy. A rule follower who was adopted because he had learned how to be quiet and do what he’s told. But underneath all that is an anger, frustration, and a secret or two he’s been holding onto for years. Jace was Easton’s adopted brother. The difficult one who grew into the bad boy. Brought into the home first, he was easily tossed aside when the good kid arrived.
These two have a complicated history. They were raised in the same home but treated completely different. Easton has already been going through some challenges when Jace shows up on his doorstep. He knows reconnecting will only end badly, but Easton has felt alone too often lately. He’s struggling to connect to his teammates, hiding his sexuality, waiting for one slip up to throw his world into chaos. Jace has a little bit of an obsession with Easton now that he’s found him again. He’s spent the last several years couch hopping and living on the street after being kicked out. He’s learned how to survive and how to protect what’s his. Neither of these characters are particularly likable apart, but together, their chemistry is crazy good. It’s fiery and tense. The animosity between them only helps fuel that. They’ve both got so much trauma they need to deal with, but they haven’t had healthy examples.
I was definitely drawn in to the story because of the two MCs history and connection. The slow reveal of secrets kept me invested. However, I felt like things were missing that might help understand the MCs more. I also would have liked to see more resolution. I know the author has said there is some ongoing plot that will continue in the next book, so I’m assuming things will be addressed there. All that said, I think Hayden’s foray into darker romance is off to a good start. The book still has his signature style of writing, with an edgy twist. I am definitely interested in seeing the direction he takes in book two.

This was a good one!
Easton and Jace.
Jace and Easton.
Former adopted brothers adopted by people who should not have been able to be around kids much less adopt! I’m so happy those boys found love regardless of their upbringings!
I need more!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Mr Hayden Hall, you made me blush!
I had to double check that Hayden actually wrote this book 😂.I love Hayden's books, they are all enjoyable & never disappoint, but Edge of Temptation was something else. This was darker, edgier & the sex scenes...they were definitely steamer & i loved every minute.I devoured this book, it became my whole life for the time it took me to read it.Easton & Jace were adoptive brothers who were pitted against each other from the time they were under the same roof.Against both their better judgements they loved each other.Easton was the golden child who suffered with his own demons & secrets, whereas Jace was the bad boy who had his own demons but lived his truth. They were drawn to each other & life itself wasn't going to keep them apart. Both characters had charisma & drew you in.I absolutely loved this first book of The Saints of Westmont U series.I can't wait for book 2 after the teaser.

5.0 out of 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This hockey romance has started out more like the Destructive Relations series then the Arctic Titans. A bit more darker, angstier but great nonetheless. Easton and Jace have not had it easy. Their are definitely some villains who I wanted to hurt and I hope one gets his due in this series. Great read with emotions and heat.

5.0 out of 5 stars Meeting Again.
MM, Enemies to Lovers, Forced Proximity, College, Hockey, Contemporary, Romance. The first book in the series and best read in series order to to storyline continuing throughout the series. I enjoyed the darker themes, and not knowing what to expect next. Packed full of drama, steam and so much more. A page turner with a fast paced plot with lots of twists and turns.
