Himbo (Elite 8 Studios Book 4) Kindle Edition
Surely I can’t fail at falling in love?
Cas
No one ever told me I might meet the love of my life on my knees in a coffee shop.
I’m not one of those people who has everything figured out. I work at my dad’s company because it’s expected, not because I enjoy it. And I may film adult videos at Elite 8 Studios in my free time, but when it comes to my love life, I’m tired of being treated like a plaything.
Jason is different. The blushing barista is demisexual, and unlike most people, he doesn’t care about what’s on the outside. He’s sweet and shy and surprisingly fierce when it comes to me, and for the first time ever, I feel seen.
But Jason has battles of his own beyond graduating nursing school. His health is in question, and suddenly, we have bigger issues than navigating a new relationship.
I never denied being a Himbo, but there’s one thing I know for certain. I’ll go to bat for Jason and me. Because love is worth fighting for.
Himbo is a romance full of first times between a sweetly sincere adult entertainer and the demi virgin who protects him at all costs. There’s a shocking meet-cute, dates that go only somewhat awry, a dash of humor, the best of friends, and one very HEA. It’s book four in the Elite 8 Studios series but can be read as a standalone.

- Reviewed in the United States on February 21, 2025I had to come back and re-read this story before jumping in to Brad’s book. It is more beautiful and perfect the second time through. The love between two characters is so pure and special. Cas and Jason see each other, get each other, accept one another and support each other in such a simple, yet formidable and powerful way. This entire series is so insanely touching, sweet, sexy, and beautifully written. On to Brad’s story, where I hope we get to see plenty more of Cas and Jason.

- Reviewed in the United States on March 14, 2025This series definitely is hit or miss but when Emmy sanders hits it, it’s a perfect mix of sweet, spicy and funny. Definitely felt the tingle of tears with this one. Still not a fan of the porn star setting though so just trying to ignore that exists and focus on the characters and their love story. Great depth to these characters this time though
- Reviewed in the United States on October 15, 2024it was wonderfully endearing, full of 2nd hand embarrassment and self-doubt, but love and understanding. everyone felt fleshed out like real people, the side relationships were wonderful to read, and i was so happy with the demisexual representation. i think it was done well. The plot was great. The drama was more intrusive thoughts than anything that it was funny but the plot twist of something tragic kept me on my toes i kind of wished it went the darker route because thats realistic and see if the stoy can still keep its overall happy vibe but it was HE .and it was steamy. Overall, a good read ill read again
- Reviewed in the United States on November 30, 2023Jason has always been an adorable barista and I was so excited going in to get to know him. Him and Cas had the meet cute of all meet cutes and immediately I was so smitten with the pair of them. From the first few chapters I could clearly see the compatibility between the two. Cas feels adrift in his career, and with no romantic life to speak of he craves being seen and Jason struggles with dating because he feels his demisexuality is a hindrance but that couldn't be more perfect for them. I absolutely adored being in both their heads, Cas was so sweet it was disarming and Jason was so adorable but also strong in a way I didn't expect I couldn't get enough of reading these two. They were both just so genuine. Once they started getting hot and heavy.. no spoilers but let's just say I was not prepared for our skittish kitten to turn into a full blown lion. the chemistry between them was SCORCHING. though there is no true angst in this book, I still found myself crying but happy tears. the love between Jason and Cas.. it's beautiful and something I want for myself. but also? Jason and his friendship with Brad.. it's beautiful. platonic love is so important and their friendship was one of my favorite aspects of this book. when Brad told Jason he was his big love.. I lost it. because I'm fortunate to have a platonic soulmate and I love that Emmy wrote their friendship the way that she did. anyway i'll get off my soapbox - read this book if you know what's good for you. byeeee.
PS. Brad better get a book pls n thnx
- Reviewed in the United States on February 16, 2024This book was a constant surprise. I’ve jumped around the series and only read Malibu before this one so I’m not sure if Cas was already shown as an adorable softie who just wants to take care of everyone, but his character was so genuine and caring in this book and it was so sweet how he and Jason met and started their relationship.
This whole book was a fun read but I particularly loved the first half as Cas and Jason started dating. The demisexual rep in the first half of the book was interesting and if anything I felt there should have been more conversations about it throughout the book. Once Cas and Jason’s relationship turned sexual it felt like Jason’s identity as a demisexual man was basically forgotten and all conversations then switched to him exploring sexual intimacy with Cas.
I enjoyed how Sanders made Cas’s work in 🌽 a part of the story but never made it an issue between the two. Cas made it clear it was just a job and there were no emotions involved and it was never a problem again.
All in all this book wasn’t perfect but it was fun and sweet and surprisingly spicy. 🥵 I’m looking forward to the next book!

- Reviewed in the United States on December 1, 2023Himbo is the fourth book in the Elite 8 Studios series. Each time I've read one have I thought that that's my favorite and that the next can't possibly be so good, but it's always is. There's a snake, snowflakes, sassy coworkers, found and real family and there's plenty of steam.
I loved both Jason and Cas. Cas is just a huge sweetheart waiting for the right person. He has been misunderstood and treated wrong for so long. Yet he understand and treats Jason with great care and in the speed Jason needs in the first part of their relationship. Jason being demisexual is a big part of the story, but it fits the story and is done very well. Jason I can also relate with for other personal reasons and that gave him as a character a lot of depth for me.
Both main characters have good development throughout the story. Emmy is a master at weaving in realistic, normal problems for her characters. It's not over the top, and it's not drawn out for the sake of drama. I won't characterize the book as being angsty, because it's not. Whatever is there feels natural.
And I'm not going to lie, I loved meeting the other guys from Elite 8 again. Their cameos are always fun.
- Reviewed in the United States on March 19, 2025I was really hoping to fall in love with this book since I enjoyed brads story so much but unfortunately that wasn’t the case. I just didn’t really connect with the characters…

A sweet, humorous and heartwarming addition to the Elite 8 series. I loved the character development and the evolving relationships.
Jason's possessiveness over Cas was incredibly endearing. Their connection felt real, and I loved how Jason consistently reminded Cas of his worth beyond his persona.

Another highlight was the special bond between Jason and Brad. Their friendship was touching, and Brad’s words toward the end really gripped my heart. I was deeply moved by the emotional depth of that moment.
I love how each story introduces the characters for the bext book along and sets their scene in little cheeky ways, it makes it difficult not to carry on straight away!

5.0 out of 5 stars Emotional
I was so prepared for a great book as this series so far has been amazing but this was just so beautiful. The story of Cassius and Jason starts with a fab meet cute that leads to a tenderness loving and romantic partnership..
There is such a wonderful chemistry but with Cas feeling he doesn't deserve to be treated with respect and Jason needing feelings before falling ( he sees himself as demisexual) the romance develops followed by some steamy scenes
There is a lot of big emotions as Jason deals with his dad's death from a degenerative disease and fear he may also suffer, to Cas finally telling his family that what will make him happy isn't what he believes they expect
Everything is written so beautifully it's impossible not to love this couple . I admit to sobbing, laughing cheering and totally falling for this romance
Brad, the room mate and best friend gives us lots of moments of levity and laughs. He is a complete star and hopefully he has a romance if his own in the future
So so good.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great series
I've just inhaled nearly everything that Emmy has written over the last month. To say I'm besotted with her characters and stories might be an understatement, but they're all just lovely. Pretty sure I've ended up a bit teary at least once in each book because she really makes to sneak in and hit me in the feels.
The characters in the Elite-8 series deal with rejection, uncertainty, but what really shines through is their determination to live an authentic life, and the importance of found family.
Each book can be read as a standalone, but characters are introduced that have their own title later on so it makes for a vastly satisfying reading experience to see what happens to them all.
I don't know what else to say at this point, but if you're looking for a heartwarming and spicy MM, then you've found a fantastic author who delivers. Highly recommend.
