    This book is outstanding and powerful. I never liked poetry as a child but I have completely changed my mind. Farida's writing is artful and communicates emotion in such a beautiful way. I felt seen in every page and really connected with the theme of the universal suffering of women under patriarchy. When I posted about the book on social media, she reached out to see what I thought. I have never encountered this with an author before and greatly appreciated her time and effort in checking in with her readers. I highly recommend this book ESPECIALLY IF YOU ARE A CIS MAN!! It speaks to the struggle of womanhood so well. I also finished it in one sitting, it was that moving.
