Falling Inn Love (Freedom Valley Series Book 1): a small town, autumn-inspired, friends to lovers romcom Kindle Edition
Perfect cozy fall vibes book that reads like a Hallmark movie...
Former military hero, found family, Inn life, puppies, forced proximity, fated soul mates, redemption, orphan, widow.
Beth is a struggling romance author who’s been trying to find her place in the world after the unbearable tragedy of losing her family. Unable to find peace other than in her writing, she ends up stranded by the side of the road in Freedom Valley, New Hampshire, where a strikingly hot, green-eyed, bearded flannel wearing innkeeper rescues her.
Evan, a former marine who took over his family’s inn after the sudden loss of his father, is struggling to keep afloat.
Running out of money, Beth agrees to help Evan run the inn in exchange for room and board, but she has no intention of staying too long and letting her guard down or anyone into her heart.
But there’s something about Beth that makes Evan believe he can be the man to give her the love that she deserves.
The more emotional walls Beth tries to put up, the harder Evan works to tear them down, using everything he can, including a pair of puppies he finds abandoned by the side of the road, to make her want to stay.
Will Evan be able to convince Beth to take a second chance at love?
*Falling Inn Love is a complete stand-alone and can be read without reading any of the other books, but if you prefer to read in order, start with Falling Inn Love as the characters and families are connected.*

This is an uplifting and inspiring story of moving forward after losing her husband and infant in a car crash and the devastating pain that keeps Beth from putting down roots and loving again. What a debut from Erin Branscom. She did a fabulous job at creating this charming world of characters that you can’t help but want to know and love. The chemistry between Evan and Beth was tangible. I couldn’t help but be invested and root from them from the beginning. Evan was cinnamon roll deliciousness. He’s the guy that’s dependable, sweet and the first to offer a helping hand. I absolutely adored him. Beth is the first woman to steal his heart in what feels like forever. He found himself falling and falling hard. But, Beth had walls upon walls built up to protect herself from anymore pain. My heart hurt for everything she’d been through and I understood her apprehension in letting someone in again. Though she tried her hardest, it was impossible not to fall for Evan. He was the quintessential good guy and the perfect man for her. He was patient and understanding. He wanted to be by her side for as long as it took for her to be ready for him.
This wasn’t just the story of two people falling in love but a story about healing. Looking at this cover, you’d never know the story that lay within. Yes, it made me smile and laugh but Erin gave us just a little bit more. She weaved this beautiful story that brimmed with emotion and heart. I loved the exploration into the journey of overcoming grief and how though it’s lifelong journey it doesn’t mean you stop living. Falling Inn Love very much had this inspirational feel to it and I loved that. It was such a perfect fall read, it gave you all the warm feels that made you feel good all over. I look forward to more stories from the people of Freedom Valley.
- Reviewed in the United States on September 30, 2023This one fell pretty flat for me. I wanted so much to love it because it seems like peak cozy, fall vibes, but unfortunately, the characters and plot lacked some depth. I feel that many of the conversations and scenarios were missing the feeling and detail needed to truly immerse me as a reader. It almost fr rushed - like a big declaration or pivotal moment would happen and we would just casually move on to the next thing pretty quickly. 3 stars because I did finish it and I found many of the characters endearing but overall, it missed the mark for me.

- Reviewed in the United States on November 12, 2024This book was an emotional Rollercoaster ride for me. I laughed, I cried, I wanted to yell at our FMC Beth!!
But I loved how it all came together in the end. I cheered so hard for this couple.
Througj tragic loss and dealing with grief to a found family!!
Heartwarming isn't enough of a word for this book.
- Reviewed in the United States on February 11, 2023This was so cute, though the cover didn't do this any justice. Beth is a nomad on the run from her tragic past, Evan is a reluctant innkeeper in a small town. They meet when Beth's car breaks down on her and Evan offers to help. I wasn't sold on the insta-love kind of aspect, but I did enjoy that she did what she needed to do to move on. Some of her story made me teary and I'm definitely going to read the next one after it was set up so well.

- Reviewed in the United States on October 25, 2022If you love Cozy romances this is definitely one you will want to Pick up! it has all the best cozy fall vibes! our cinnoman roll guy falls first, found family, small town/small town festivals, and sad past events.
Our fmc Beth is a bit of a wanderer, feeling like she always has to be on the move because there is a part of her past she is trying to outrun. when her car breaks down just outside of a small town and shes feeling hopeless in walks her flannel clad hero, despite all her stubbornness and will power to keep him at a distance Evan still manages to get under her skin.
It was like watching a hallmark movie play out in my head. I loved all the side characters and can not wait to see what else Freedom Valley has in store for its residents!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect Fall small town romance
I sooo enjoyed this Indie author debut!! Attracted by the cover with puppies and pitch perfect fall vibes, this dual POV, forced proximity, small town romance was a heartwarming cozy season read perfect for fans of Gilmore girls!
Struggling author and nomad Beth is running from her past trauma when her car breaks down on the side of the road, only to have Evan, ex-Marine turned local Inn-keeper help her out and offer her both a place to stay and work for as long as she needs. Beth only promises to stay for sixty days but can't resist falling for the charm of the Inn and all its people as she works to help them save the Inn from defaulting on a bank loan.
This book was full of found family, emotional depth and a beautiful romance that I couldn't have enjoyed more! Highly recommended for fans of Part of your world by Abby Jimenez or Astrid Parker doesn't fail by Ashley Blake (two other small town stories featuring Inns and small town charm).
🔥Steam level: one open door scene with mild descriptions

4.0 out of 5 stars Enjoyed the read!
Unfortunately, I dragged this one out and it ruined it for me slightly. But it was definitely a beautifully written, fall romance. I loved the story line for both Evan and Beth.
It definitely hit home to some degree.

5.0 out of 5 stars emotionally fantastic read
I absolutely loved this book so much. The emotion from Beth and the way Evan supports and helps her heal was wonderful. This book is full of love, heart, grief and shows the power of family even if they are not related by blood. Love this book and now invested in all of the other characters and their stories.. on to book 2
