Queer fiction author Roe Horvat was born in former Czechoslovakia. Equipped with a dark sense of sarcasm, Roe traveled Europe and finally settled in Sweden. He came out as transgender in 2017 and has been fabulous since. He loves Jane Austen, Douglas Adams, bad action movies, stand-up comedy, and pale ale. When not hiding in the studio doing graphics, he can be found trolling cafés in Gothenburg, writing, and people-watching.

I was lucky enough to get an ARC from @roehorvat.writesmm so I can tell you how great this book is! (Which is no shocker cause ALL of his books are good! Even better, they’re AMAZING🖤) It’s starts out with omega Calvin being lost out in a blizzard in the woods not far from Beauville where his ex dropped him off and left! What a jerk!!! In comes Barclay to the rescue, a grumpy older bear shifter who spent too many years alone up in the woods. But of course fate has its weird ways bringing mates together in situations like this! And Barclay found his in a stranded scared lost omega, and not just any mate, but his fated mate! Barclay is ecstatic! Calvin is happy beyond belief!! What else could go wrong? Calvin’s family of course! Not to mention that jerk ex boyfriend that just left a cute boy like Calvin out in the woods alone! His family doesn’t want him with Calvin and his Ex wants him as a stepping stone to his career, and they’ll do anything to stop this fated mate business. But what could they possibly do to Barclay, he’s a bear shifter! And he’s not the only one 😏 there’s many in Beauville with his same hairy condition 🖤 Read Fearless Bond by Roe Horvat, the first book in his new series, to find out what happens next! And of course to read all the spice in between the pages 😘😈🥵🌶️

    What can u say? I read most Roe books and this one did not disappoint. It was everything Roe is good at. Omegaverse, knots, heats, passion description, swooning and most of all fated Love.
    There really isn’t anything else to add here. The writing was amazing, the smexy was Hawt, and I love the bears can’t wait to see who finds their mate next.

    Some of this authors MPREG books are good, with a solid story backing it up, this one not so much. Barely a plot to get to the spice and a bit over the top overall.

    Our MC who has anxiety issues is left on the side of the road by an abusive boyfriend. He sees this as his chance to escape and tries to trek into town through the snow / forest. That’s when he encounters a bear shifter which is the other MC.

    Obviously gets saved, goes into heat immediately, soulmates so instant love and a pregnancy soon after.

    Very little conflict aside from abusive x and a dad who doesn’t care before you get your HEA.

    Probably my favorite by Roe Horvat at this point. I’m a sucker for small town shifters, but Calvin’s journey to discover his strength and his eventual resolution with his father was icing on the cake. Definitely hope there’s more of these Bears of Beauville to come!

    I don't usually read Omegaverse stuff. There were a couple of statements that felt a little icky - about how young the Ω is - and the couple never actually discussed his age (well, the Ω let the α think he was already 21, when he was not yet, and that lil Chekhov's gun never got fired), but none of that was too much of a big deal. It's ooey and gooey, and also there are a lot of feelings. It's Omegaverse. If that's your Thang, this is good.

    It amazes me that this author who has written so many Omegaverse books can create a whole new world and have it be completely different to previous works and pull it off spectacularly. I love the new universe with bear shifters and the awesome and funny side characters made me want to live there!

    Of course being a Roe Horvat book, the steam is off the charts hot 🥵 🔥 and I couldn’t get enough. The chemistry between Calvin and Barclay was intense and captivating.

    Absolutely can’t wait for next one in the series and excited to see who next gets their HEA.

    I got a copy of this book and this is my honest and unbiased opinion.
