    Wow, this is a very good book. It had a very good storyline. Was sad the way she was abused by her first boyfriend and her father. Glad she finally found shelter.

    This is Book 1 of the Promises From The Heart series, but there are clearly other stories that came before this one and I haven't read them. I think that's okay overall, but with the fact that there are clearly previous stories establishing the supporting couples I think you may enjoy this more if you've read the others first. However, the author does do a good job of establishing the secondary characters and letting you know the relevant information of anything that "happened before," so it's not bad and not necessary to have read anything before. It's a quick, well-written, dramatic, fully fleshed story which I did enjoy reading quite a bit. Would absolutely recommend.

    Fierce Protector is Wendy and Caleb's story.

    Caleb and Wendy have been circling each other for months now. Caleb knows Wendy is skittish for a reason and has been biding his time to prove to her that he is trustworthy and more than willing to take on her demons. During a big winter storm, he finally gets his chance to step in and take care of her.

    Wendy isn't able to resist Caleb at his most caring and protective but the next morning, her past comes to wreck havoc on her life and she gets to see Caleb and his brothers pull all the stops to but her abusive ex behind bars and far away from her.

    The blurb for this one pretty much sums up the story. I liked the premise but there was too much telling and not enough time devoted to showing us the chemistry and emotional bonding of the MCs. Wendy and Caleb's story felt like we jumped into the middle and then rushed the ending. It was okay but I missed the build up and the falling in love parts of the story.

    IT is 100% safe of OW drama, there is no cheating and the H falls first.

    Enjoyed reading. Caleb kind and caring protector. He wants Wendy, but can tell she has been through something traumatic. Even if she doesn't know it, he will protect her. Wendy is scared and always on alert. She feels safe with Caleb until someone breaks in her cabin and leaves warnings. Can he keep her from running again? Must read.

    Caleb is a super sweet, protective billionaire who runs a mountain resort and has a fierce background as a Ranger. Wendy has a rough background and is on the run. Caleb zeroes in on her being his one-and-only, but first, he needs to show Wendy he's a good man and one who will protect her at all costs. I recommend this one! It gave me all the right feels.

    Caleb is a billionaire who owns a winter resort. Wendy works for him and is very skittish. Caleb is a former army Ranger and it doesn’t take him long to realize that she is running away from something. In truth, she is reining and hiding from an abusive ex. Caleb and his friends will do whatever they need to do to protect her.
    This novella is well written and definitely worth the time to read it. I loved how patient Caleb was with Wendy and how he was willing to wait for Wendy to come to him.

    Caleb has taken a keen interest in Wendy since she started working at his resort. He can tell from her demeanour that she has been through a lot which only brings out his protective instincts more. Wendy enjoys her job at the resort but she still feels anxious about being found by her ex. She also feels a sense of security whenever Caleb is near and only hopes that her past won’t catch up with her again. A fast paced read with some suspense and plenty of steam. Caleb gives Wendy the confidence that she is more than she thinks she is giving her the determination to stand to her past.
