Fighting Mr. Knight: A Billionaire Office Romance (The London Mister Series Book 3) Kindle Edition

4.5 out of 5 stars 15,413 ratings

This arrogant playboy treats London like it’s his Monopoly board. But I’m not going to play by his rules…

Billionaire property tycoon Jack Knight is propping up the UK rich list and keeping the national tabloids ablaze with his scandalous love life. And making my life hell.

To him, I’m just another architect in a small design firm bidding for his latest prestigious project.
To me, he’s a ruthless businessman who plays people like pawns. I should know.

I’d rather work for Satan on designing Hell than have to answer to him.
But sometimes dream jobs come with insufferable bosses.

I hate that I have to see his signature arrogant grin every day.
I hate that when Jack Knight says jump, we grab our long poles.
I
especially hate the undeniable explosive heat growing between us.

Fighting Mr. Knight is a standalone, steamy, dual point-of-view office romance with a hot-as-hell, brooding CEO and a sassy, witty heroine.

I’m Rosa, a contemporary romance author based in the UK.

I love crafting stories about strong, sassy heroines who aren’t afraid to speak their minds. These fierce ladies are paired with alpha heroes who are as rugged as they are emotionally guarded.

I have a weakness for specific tropes, such as billionaire alphas with egos the size of their bank accounts, age gap romances that show love defies age, workplace romances that give “office politics” a whole new meaning, enemies-to-lovers stories that make you want to lock the characters in a room until they sort out their feelings, and grumpy-meets-sunshine matchups proving that even the most brooding of men can melt with the right woman by their side.

When I’m not lost in my writing world, you can find me roaming the countryside with my own Happily-Ever-After guy (who refuses to read my books, likely worried he’ll see himself in them, or even worse, not see himself at all) looking for a great hike with a pub at the end.

My books are available in English, German and Polish. Coming in French and Portuguese 2025

Fighting Mr. Knight might just be my favorite book in the London Misters series. Bonnie is an architect working toward a promotion, but there’s one major problem—her direct boss is also her ex-fiancé. Navigating that tension is hard enough, but when their firm lands a project with the powerful Lexington Group, things get even more complicated. Enter Jack Knight, the billionaire playboy Bonnie has no patience for.
Jack has had feelings for Bonnie for a long time, but she has plenty of assumptions about him and isn’t impressed by his wealth or reputation. Their back-and-forth is sharp, full of tension, and had me hooked. Bonnie’s a little awkward but so easy to love, and Jack doesn’t stand a chance. Their chemistry is fire, and the buildup makes the payoff even better.
The humor, the tension, and the messy emotions gave me major Bridget Jones’s Diary vibes in the best way. The side story about Jack’s dad added depth, but that third-act breakup? Brutal. One of those moments where you see the train wreck coming but can’t do anything to stop it. Still, the way everything comes together in the end made it worth it.
This book had me laughing, swooning, and wanting to throw my Kindle at least once. Definitely a must-read for anyone who loves a billionaire romance!

Good book but the kindle edition has typos that should have been caught. Such as a red period and different text colors. Story was good but I wished there was more groveling

    Good writing and good storytelling.

I've read the reviews before I started, and it was clear that a lot of readers had a huge problem with the FMC - I still decided to give Bonnie the benefit of the doubt. However, after reading the book, I can honestly say I have never disliked a FMC as much as I disliked Bonnie.

I will never understand why authors ALWAYS write FMC's as characters that are desperate to be with a man, any man. Seriously, people, this is modern times, and women can and do take care of themselves. But, Bonnie...

    Spoilers ahead.

There's this scene where Bonnie had been having lustful thoughts about Jack (the MMC) but almost jumps out of her skin from excitement because she thought her ex was making up with her - this after 6 months of the relationship being over, and him having moved on with someone else. She came across so desperate that it was pathetic and embarrassing to read. Then, instead of telling her that he wants her back, her ex informs her that he is moving on with the other woman. And what does Bonnie do? She falls apart so dramatically that she shows up late for an important meeting and does not listen to a word of what is being said. To add insult to injury, she does not accept responsibility for her actions following Jack kicking her out of the meeting. Oh, no, not Bonnie. She goes on to behave like a total brat, insisting that she was treated unfairly. Then, she gets drunk at a work function and refuses a lift home because she can "take care of herself." But wait, there's more: At the 60% mark, we find our FMC still pining over the ex while at the same time lusting after Jack, and this after having gotten frisky with Jack on a few occasions leading up to this point. But, still more, she finds out more than 6 months after their breakup that the ex has been cheating on her throughout their relationship, so she wants to confront him. Grow up woman! The relationship ended some time ago and he moved on! And don't get me started on her loyalty to her criminal, good-for-nothing dad - I don't even want to go there. My biggest issue with her, however, must be that she kept important information from Jack when it was not necessary to do so.

I don't know what Jack saw in her but, alas, he loved her, and she managed to somewhat redeem herself in the end.

From Rosa's first book: Taming Mr. Walker, through Resisting Mr. Kane and now Fighting Mr. Knight I have fallen for her story's and her writing. I like the POV way of story telling. Fighting Mr. Knight is a steamy, swoon and funny story. Jack & Bonnie fall hard for each other. I loved the twist near the end of the book. I find that Rosa's writing is getting beter and beter so I can't wait for Rosa's next story.

The 3rd & final book of the series is the love story of Jack Knight, CEO of The Lexington Group (property developer) & Bonnie Cassey, an architect. Their path collides when Bonnie’s company is tasked with design & overall work for a new project for Jack. The storyline is slightly different from the other two books – past murder, intrigue & the other usual stuff all packed in seamlessly. This one too has witty banter, sarcasm weaved into the conversation.

After reading all three books I discovered a few things about the author –
    1. her narration is laced with wit & sarcasm which makes it a fun read
    2. she has taken time to develop the storyline and character
    3. female protagonists are witty & strong

So far, she has written – 3 + 1 (expected release 30th April) so she relatively new author. I Look forward to reading her next novel.

It’s part of KUL & a definite download & read book. Please read it in sequence as all three friends & their partners find a mention in each other’s story. Also, in the epilogue you get a peek into the married life of each which is nice. Happy reading.

Book 2. Resisting Mr. Kane: Tristan Kane & Elena Aldric

    Jack is the sweetest guy!!
I’ve read all three books and the rating is like this:
    1. Best chemistry: Danny and Charlie
    2. Best characters: Jack and Bonnie
    3. Best book: Danny and Charlie
I like Jack best because he is more easy going, sweet and down to earth than the other two. Danny was very serious and Tristan was just… in need of therapy.
Bonnie is truly the most mature lead. She has an interesting background and is pretty stable even if she has been recently left by his ex-fiance. Charlie is the funniest though.

    Enjoyed them immensely.
