Flash Me (Heathens Ink Book 6) Kindle Edition

4.5 4.5 out of 5 stars 1,476 ratings

Love is multiplied, never divided

I was kicked out at sixteen for being transgender, but it turned out to be one of the best things to ever happen to me. At twenty-one, I have a fantastic new family made up of my brother and a handful of wonderful friends, I own my own photography business, and I’m happier than I imagined possible. There’s just one thing missing… Okay, maybe two…

Wyatt and Owen couldn’t be more different, but that doesn’t stop me from wanting them both...needing them both.

***This is the sixth book in the Heathens Ink series. Each book in the series CAN be read as a stand-alone, but characters do re-occur so it’s more fun to read them all! This is a steamy M/M/M romance with a guaranteed HEA.

K.M. Neuhold is a complete romance junkie. bisexual and polyamorous, she often describes herself as being in love with love. She loves to write stories full of bearded, cinnamon roll men who get super swoony HEAs. Her philosophy is there’s so much angst and sadness for LGBT characters in media, all she wants is to give them the happiest happily ever afters she can with little angst, tons of humor, and SO MUCH STEAM. K.M. fully admits to her tendencies of making sure every side character has a full backstory that will likely always lead to every book turning into a series or spin-off. When she's not writing she's a lion tamer, an astronaut, and a superhero...just kidding, she's likely watching Netflix and snuggling with her huskies while her amazing husband brings her coffee.

Another great story in this series. This is Liam's story who happens to be Royal's brother and the guys at Heathens Ink all look after him. Liam has an attraction to Owen and Wyatt but this attraction is far from usual as Liam wants both of them so he sets out a plan to make that happen. I loved the meaning behind Liam's owl tattoo as well.

This is the second time I have read this book and it was just as amazing as the first time. The characters, the feelings, and everything make my heart so happy. Amazing and I will probably at some point read a third time.

***Spoilers here and there***

It’s not much I would like to say when it comes to this book. The only thing that I would like to learn is about transgender and how does it work. By becoming a male when you was born a female. I understand a little on the male turning female.

But I’ve read another book with female turning male! I’ve always been curious but not in a bad way. meaning I would love to know and learn more!

But besides that; I thought Liam; Owen and Wyatt fits well together. I love the meaning behind the O.W.L tattoo that was sooo cute. Love that Owen finally gotten help by going to therapy! Plus with his dad gone. I felt that he would finally get piece and his dreams may not happen or maybe stop often!

But you look at it there are horrible corked cops out in this world including ones that are family and gets away with stuff. I say this - because even (in real life - people are dying in prison so much lately; and something not right with that)!!!

But glad that his dad finally hit the bucked but even if he didn’t felt any pain he stool was the devil and got what he deserved! Because the pain that Owen felt from a young age to an adult was horrible!

I was so excited to get Liam's book in Flash Me because we've watched him grow up and find his true family through the whole of the Heathens Ink series. He first shows up in book 2, Going Commando, after being kicked out by his father but he's quickly taken in by his half-brother Royal and this is where Liam's family truly begins. I've loved watching Liam grow confident in himself and develop a career as a photographer. Readers of the whole series knew early on that Owen would be his love interest because Liam has had a huge crush from the moment he lays eyes on Owen. I'm glad that K.M. Neuhold gave Liam the time to grow up and waited to write his story until Liam was 21. He's definitely mature for his age but still has that boundless energy and optimism of youth. Making things even better, Liam meets Wyatt, a therapist at Rainbow House, when he's 19 and their friendship becomes an important part of Liam's life. Liam has no doubts that he belongs with both men.

While Liam already knows both Owen and Wyatt it was nice to see things change from friendship to lovers. I've always liked Owen's character, though we haven't known much about him since he's pretty reserved. Owen might be quiet but once he begins to see Liam as an adult and a potential lover he goes all in. I love how devoted Owen is to Liam and they're really sweet together. Owen is a born protector but the abuse his father put him through as a child have left with mental scars that have eroded Owen's self worth. Wyatt is a newer character that hasn't appeared in previous books but he's become close friends with Liam. By the time he realizes he might be interested in a relationship Liam is already dating Owen and Wyatt things he's missed his opportunity. Little does he know! Even though Liam is the one that brings the three together I liked that we also saw a one-on-one relationship developing between Wyatt and Owen and it's clear that they like each other too and aren't just in this triad for Liam.

Things move slowly at first since Liam has never really dated and is still struggling with being naked around other people. As a trans man Liam just wants to be himself and feel comfortable in his own body without being judged or found lacking. The ways Owen and Wyatt support and care for Liam were really beautiful. There's also a lot of positive portrayals of therapy in Flash Me and I enjoyed the scenes with Liam and his therapist, Alex.

Was this book sugary sweet and low angst? Absolutely yes and I loved it because of that. All three of these guys have baggage in their past, some of which has to be dealt with in this book, so they didn't the extra pain in their relationship. Sometimes I just want to watch people fall in love and work things out easily; I'm a sucker for soft and sweet romances that are also super sexy and Flash Me hits that spot.

I wasn't super impressed with this, even though I've liked the rest of the Heathen's Ink series.

I felt the story was superficial as most of it focused on the triad getting together on a practical level and not their connection. Furthermore, all MCs have interesting back stories and issues that could have been super interesting to focus more on, but again, I found it lacking.

I think it was partially because of the very frequent change of storyteller that I never really got to know the characters and therefore had a hard time feeling them as a unit.

I love this book. The characters are wonderful, complex, and compelling. The story is sweet, sexy, sad, and reaffirming. I enjoyed how everything comes together and how all three characters get what they need even if it was never on their radar.

I love this book and series. I hope there is more coming.

I just adored this series so much. Every couple was so special and had such a heartwarming journey to love. This was a perfect happily ever after ending and all the couples are happy and at peace. And Gage and Becks baby boy had me crying. I’m now off to read every other book by this author!

Liam, Owen, and Wyatt

This is such a good series, well, both series, Heathens Ink and Inked. I did go by the reading order suggested by the author. So I guess I'm just gonna give them all this same review since it was nine titles. I probably should have written each review once I was done with each one, but I was just too excited to get started on the next couples story. Definitely recommend reading them all!

I longed for this book. I was in Love with Liam when he first appeared in Going Commando. And Owen was my dream partner for him.
That K.M.Neuhold made a mmm story out of it is awsome.
It's great how much she has dealt with the subject of trans and the problems. Liam is polyamorous and in love with Owen and Wyatt. And he is transsexual. With all the uncertainties, because he does not have the finale surgery, the doubts whether his men accept him as he is.
I have accompanied and laughed with him. Liam is profound but he is also very playful. As he surprises his brothers that he is also in a polyamorous relationship, as he playfully brings his two men together, I love it.
Owen and his story broke my heart.
Wyatt is the perfect complement to the two, and he has a background that is not so easy too.

I love this series, every character is absolutely adorable and you suffer with them and you love with them. K.M Neuhold has created a completely exceptional series
