    This story was short, sweet and spicy! I started and finished during lunch time! A grumpy florist and a sunshine football player. Both have been holding themselves hostage to a work then home lifestyle. They get setup on a blind date from their friends and fireworks go off. It was such an easy read the story kept me reading. Perfect valentines novella!

    As always, I loved this novella by Nichole. She knows how to get me interested in a story and keep me invested til the end.
    Shane was a sweetheart and I hated seeing him get hurt. He deserved so much more but that's where Janae comes in..she meets him at the right time and right place.
    They are both shy and awkward. It was refreshing to see. But as almost always in books, the MMC (Shane) makes a big mistake (no cheating or anything like that) and Janae has to decide if she will walk away or if she will listen to what he has to say.
    I also liked how the grumpy/sunshine trope was reversed. He was shy but happy and she was the one who was testy.

    A football god that's not a "player". Not only isn't he one, he's just been used for his status. Now his only focus is football. Janae is following her passion and isn't one to date either.     Less than 100 pages, but worth the read. Quick, fun, and full of romance, this short novella gives you all the feels. Nichole does a great job pulling her readers in quickly and keeping their intrigue until the very end. She put a lot into this book and I am so glad I spent time reading it!

    Shane and Janae have instant chemistry that you can’t wait to see take off. When they meet, Janae has no clue who Shane is (a fact that he loves) and they have an instant connection. With their blind date going really well, when can Shane tell her the truth about who he is without making it seem he was keeping secrets?

    Janae doesn’t think she has time for anything but her job and training. She is not super happy about a blind date, but it ends up going really well. She can’t believe this handsome man is interested in her as well. Has she met the person she can make room for or is it too good to be true?
    Nichole did not disappoint in this short novella, which I highly recommend. Able to be read in 1-2 hours, you’ll be happy you did!

    Fumbling in the Dark is a short sweet Valentine’s Novella and part of the Vegas After Dark Series. This is a fast paced read. It’s a cute little romance that has the 2 MC being set up on a blind date by their roommates/BFFs. Jenae hasn’t had much luck in the dating world and is focusing more on her work at the flower shop and Shane just landing a spot in the NFL, losing his girlfriend and just wanting someone to love him for who he is and not what he does. Will they be able to get past a lie?

    Both of the characters were fun and sweet. I loved how prickly Jenae’s personality was until Shane was able to break down her walls. Overall a good read. 3.5/5

    ONE SENTENCE-ISH SUMMARY: On what should be the best night of his life, the night he gets drafted into the NFL, Shane's girlfriend dumps him. After moving to Las Vegas for his career, his teammates set him up on a blind date... will this be the turnaround Shane needs after all?

    MY RATING: 2.5 stars (rounded up to 3)

    WOULD I RECOMMEND: To the right person, yes.
    This is an extremely short novella, only 99 pages. I think if I am being fair, maybe novellas are just not for me. It felt rushed and a bit unrealistic. That said, I really did enjoy these characters and how Janae was willing to stand up for herself even though she knew she loved Shane.

    I will always read this author’s work. I loved this story sooo much! I loved the awkwardness of these characters and how they had to be destined to find one another! This is a quick read that packs a great story and your heart will swoon by reading it!
