About the author

Mat Waugh is a weary father of three young girls living in the south east of England. When he was seven he wrote to Clive King, author of 60s children's classic Stig of the Dump, asking if there would be a sequel. The letter chased Clive around the world but eventually found him back in London, and he replied (including the exotically franked envelope). The bad news was that there would be no second Stig. The good news: writing was clearly a very exciting career!
Thirty years later, Mat started writing fiction in earnest (he's a serial procrastinator). He began with his Cheeky Charlie series for kids aged 6 and up, and has since written best-selling joke books, wordsearches and picture books.

- Reviewed in the United States on November 21, 2017This book was a bit creepy, a bit sneaky, and very funny! I loved the story idea (though I won't talk about it as I don't want to give away any spoilers!), and the characters were great. I think what was creepiest was it could probably happen in real life, and what was funniest was the bit with the Prime Minister in his superman pants!
Anyway, I definitely loved the book, and so did my friend's children when we read it together. And we'd all recommend it to you and your children to read today!
NB I received a complimentary copy of this book, but I always give an HONEST review based wholly on my own opinions
