Circle of Darkness: Genesis Circle Book One Kindle Edition

4.3 out of 5 stars 647 ratings

There isn’t a monster D’Angelo Kumar can’t destroy or a crisis he can’t manage until he meets Angel Bai. The insane attraction he feels toward the sexy waiter is unwelcome because D’Angelo doesn’t have room in his life for relationships. A solitary path is the only option for a man like him, but fighting his growing feelings for Angel may be the first battle he can’t win.

Angel’s abilities extend beyond memorizing the menu at D’Angelo’s favorite Italian restaurant, but he knows better than to trust anyone with his secret. When a vision reveals that D’Angelo’s life is in danger, he will risk everything to save him. The only thing scarier than monsters and demons to Angel is never knowing D’Angelo’s touch.

To say the demon hunter is reluctant to form a partnership with the psychic is putting it mildly, but D’Angelo needs every advantage he can get when the world’s very existence is threatened. As darkness looms nearer, D’Angelo and Angel’s unexplainable connection grows stronger. For a chance at happiness, the two men will need to call upon unlikely allies for an epic showdown between good and evil.

Sexy, witty, and action-packed, Circle of Darkness is the first book in the Genesis Circle paranormal romance series by Nicholas Bella and Aimee Nicole Walker. This book contains sexually explicit material and is intended for adults 18 and older.

I could not put this book down. Walker and Bella together cannot be matched. Loved the story, all of the characters and the lesson of good vs evil. Loved the gals with their magic and potions, loved Angel who found out about love the hard way, loved the descriptions of good demons and not so good demons, Loved no non-sense D'Angelo who finally woke up to life and want more of this series. Am ready to read Genisis 2 now and cannot wait until I learn about Christian. PS loved Stephen too who is just looking for the love of his life. This is a library keeper and want to see Book #3 come out too.

I enjoyed this book. I read the complaints about repeated explanations in reviews before I bought the book. It is a common practice with POV books, and I really feel I would not have been distracted by it, if I hadn't read the reviews first....

One thing I found more distracting was the snippets of 'backstory' that don't exist as novellas? I spent a bit of time looking to see if the authors 'shopped' this series in some anthology. Maybe I couldn't find them? It would be nice if they did create a collection of short stories to fill in that background? I'd buy that.....

Story itself. Since I have never read anything by Nicholas and it was Aimee that brought me to the book, I'm going to assume the dark nature of the book is more him and the fun and humor are her (based on other series). I enjoyed this book. I think it did a good job of setting up the universe for the stories. It introduces quite a few characters that would lead to continuing the series. I have it on my watch list.

Looks like one of few that loved this book! It has all the supernatural beings that exist that the humans don't know about. A demon is conjured up by a stupid human that doesn't know what he's doing, but thanks to the Genesis Circle, for they are the people who fight the rogue evil of the world.

The couple who are attracted to each other, D'Angelo Kumar a hunter, and Angel a pychic who works at D'Angelo's favor resturant, are eventually forced to work as a team to stop the conjuring of a very powerful demon from hell.

The book kept me on my toes between the hot desire the couple have for each other (an sex) and the involvement of many other supernatural creatures, including a vampire, werewolf and demons.

I have the second book to this series and I can't wait to start it!

Hmm. This was a good story. I enjoyed it. I loved the characters and their quirkiness. I loved the built family aspect. As a D&D player it read like I was reading a smexy one shot. I feel like something was missing. I can’t figure it out. Something that would have made me get drawn in better? I don’t know what it was though. Got start of the world with all of the different characters and fantasy folk. Next book looks like it will be interesting with enemies to lover read.

Angel was great! I was afraid that he was going to be meek and quiet but fortunately he was smart and had his own snark. While D’Angelo was totally the stud, full of confidence and knew everything about the hidden world of demons, vampires, werewolves and enhanced humans! Jinx, Vixen and Christian were great supporting characters and provided good contrast to Angel and D’Angelo. Looking forward to the next book!

Nicholas Bella will always be the "it" for me I've loved everything he's wrote, it was the first time reading anything from Aimee Nicole Walker. The colab was definitely a grand adventure, smooth throughout the story so that you couldn't tell who wrote what. A amazing combination of talents.

Who doesn't love a good vs evil story? Step into the circle of darkness and be aware of things we only thought was a fairy tale. D sexy hot bull headed borderline donkey action hunter. Ansel the angel of sorts that throws a wrench in the best laid plans.

Gods, demons and dangerous statues Oh. My. Remember the old saying you gets nothing for free. A little shop of good doers all about keeping the balance, or at least the bad semi contained.

Some tense moments in both business and play time, Love and passion added to the mix. Hot yummy scenes and awesome personalities of the secondary characters. Job well done. Nicholas and Aimee Enjoy.

I thoroughly enjoyed this new series. The characters are interesting that you want them for your own friends. The love that the Genesis team have for each other is very unique as well as special. I am looking forward to reading more on this series. The darkness is everywhere it is good to know there is someone keeping us safe. Another great collaboration betweenr Nicole Walker & Nicholas Bella.

I enjoyed this book, loved Angel and D'angel. After some initial angst they became a cute couple. The story, background and secondary characters were good, but the book was a little light for my tastes. There is action, mainly surrounding D'angel. I would have liked seeing Angel in a more active role during the battles. I did like his power of visions in the beginning of the story, but they seemed to be set aside in the second half despite the fact that they were getting stronger the more he was around D'angel. Enjoyable story and I hope Christian gets a chance to find his mage next.

This book follows our main characters Angel and D'Angelo through their journey of banishing demons and saving the world (literally). I really loved the setting of the plot, the storytelling and the characters. All characters had their own story to contribute and was necessary. The way the story progressed gave us readers the thrill of anticipation and excitement as things happened. I absolutely loved the relationship between Angel and D'Angelo, and it gave me so much feels! I especially loved the snarky vampire Lorcan, who just turned out to be a big bear of fluffiness(Not literally) when his friends needed him. I really liked that ending with Lorcan's point of view and I can't wait to read the next book!

4.0 out of 5 stars A great new series

What a great start to this new series,
l was totally captivated by this story from the beginning.
l loved the chemistry between all the characters, especially Angel & D'Angelo
The slowly brewing attraction , and confusing feelings kept me captive,
while the plethora of demons and witches and magic were such a treat.
What l enjoyed the most was the fact that l did not know what to expect,
l truly did not know what other creatures would be introduced, and
how they would all interract in the story.l found it all magical..

l have enjoyed both these authors books before, and could recognise
    the influences of both.
With so many characters involved , l am excited for more books to come.
    Very enjoyable.

Sceptique I was when purchasing this book, it is not a genre I read, loving Aimee’s books, I jumped in, wow, powerful writing by this duo. I will be looking into Nicholas’s other book for sure. The plot was a real page turner, reading beware, reading in one sitting may occur
