There are books that make me tear up. Then, there are books that make me ugly cry. This is one of those books. I practically choked on my sobs and had to put my phone down a couple of times. I didn’t expect this at all!
“Girl Obsessed” is the first book I've read from Zee Shine Storm, and what a rollercoaster it was. It was a test of my morality. I didn't know whether it was okay to empathize and wish for Wynter’s happy ending based on what she'd gone through, or if I should want a more bittersweet ending based on how far her obsession with Jude took her. However, the way the other characters were written in this book makes it seem like what she'd done was nothing and I thought it was interesting to see the contrast. Zee will make you hate [most of] them so much, you can’t help but want to protect Wynter. It definitely played a part in my inner turmoil.
Jude was a prevalent calm to the other male characters that are introduced. With his beautiful prose, he was Wynter’s saving grace, but even those we idolize aren’t as perfect as we make them out to be in our heads. We’re all human after all, and once you dig deep down into Jude’s darkness, you’ll be hit with the reality of it.
This author kept me guessing throughout this book. My heart would palpitate, waiting to see what Wynter would do in times of jealousy. I was also anxious for when her secret would be revealed and all hell broke loose. I couldn't even tell the fate of this couple, whether they would have a happy ending or not. The passion between them was beautiful and intoxicating. So much so that there’s a fine line between right and wrong, but you can’t help but wish for their happily ever after. I won’t spoil it, but I'll just say that it was perfectly written and you won’t see it coming!
This story has definitely left an imprint on me. I'm so excited to read more from this author!

👏you👏guys👏 this book!! Girl obsessed 🤯🥵🙌🏻 we were soo intrigued hearing about this book because almost every time you read about a stalker it’s a man and with this switch up we knew we had to dive in !!!! We are sooo glad we did 🙌🏻🙌🏻 Wynter... our poor wynter she is put through it big time in the beginning of this story 😞 the trauma she goes through will break your heart and piss you off! She turns to reading to help get her through a very bad time in her life & ends up falling for the words of an author named Jude .. (you know you have been there 🤣) only Wynter takes it to the next level🤣 without giving away too much let’s just say her and Jude meet and mannnnnn is it 🔥🔥🔥 the push and pull, protectiveness from both, twist & turns, truths being exposed, hot as hell moments and taboo of this story will have you so invested!!! You will be so rooting for a stalker 🤣🙌🏻 go read this & let yourself get lost in a little taboo 🖤
