    This was a great, suspenseful, clean read. I didn’t want to put it down. This is part of a series and the books need to be read in order. There was plenty of suspense as Pat and Holly head to Pat’s cabin. Kimberly, Pat’s ex, makes her way home. There was a cliffhanger, but thankfully the next book in the series is out. On to book 4.

    it took little while to get through the characters in the beginning. these main characters where more definitely complicated and unique to any I have read about in other apocalypse books but all that I can say is I am looking forward to January's release of number 4. as far as the one review being critical of certain location facts please remember it is a fictional work and pay the review no mind. thank you for the work you have put into the series mary

    I attempted to continue this series but I just can't anymore. Pat is continuing making bad decisions based on his bleeding heart. His ex wife saying he was taking the kids outside of his custody agreement after she treked for days to get home....give me a break. If this is really her priority then these people deserve their apocalyptic drama.

    His children are great kids, plus Butler took to Dylan like no one’s business and Piper instantly trusts Holly.
