    Then I kept reading. I fell in love with Rex. He's so perfectly imperfect. And Mason, that adorable, little grouchy beyotch is just my kinda girl.

    A fun read, yet complicated with the list of characters and their dark past. Rex is a bigger than life guy, rich, good looking, powerful but he a paid killer with an aversion to blood, kill like at the sight thing which has put him as weak in his father's eyes. Oh and he has a weak heart, the basis of the whole heart thief, he literally stole Mason's brother's donor heart. Mason is seeking revenge for her brother's death, but it more complicated than that...Mason finds herself attracted to Rex, even though this feud has been going on for years their back and forth keeps smoldering under the surface. Rex feels he's on a time limit, his borrowed heart doesn't have many more years he holds himself at a distance to others from living him. Entertaining read, plenty of humor with high action storyline.

    Well, that is one of those stories that requires a bit of belief suspension, but you don't care because it's so much fun!
    Mason wants to avenge the death of his brother, as caused by Rex. What ensues is Mason 'working' for Rex, meeting a collection of psychopaths, (Blood Brothers), getting involved in something that puts him in danger and Rex stopping at nothing to keep him safe. Their relationship is little bit of a slow burn, peppered with hate/lust on Mason's part.
    There were times the story was a little OTT, but overall, I really liked Mason and some of the other Blood Brothers, especially Valentine.
    3.5 stars rounded up to 4.

    Ugh so I stuck with this until 60% and then I just couldn't.

    It was so close to being a really great fun romp... The writer and writing is actually good but the tone is all wrong for the material.

    Also it's all a mish mash so on one hand it's like a superhero movie in that everyone is OTT good looking or genius or certifiable pyscho and completely a colour by numbers hero yet the characters are well developed, 3 dimensional with likes and dislikes.

    Spoiler Alert... The plot includes a weapon of mass destruction but it's being developed in an office building in downtown New York. And of course the science is done by peeps in white lab coats! Yet the plot was very well devolped despite the ludicrous premise.

    Anyways final shout out for the hardworking model on the cover... He's been on a bunch of mm romance I've read including one of Forbidden Desires books by Virginia Kelly. That series is fantastic example of silly camp fun with hot rich men. If you are looking for escapism it's a great place to go.
