    5 stars for the story but I mentally give 4 stars for the principle of never finding anything in the print that this is in fact a prequel. This should've been Book 1. The author needs to officially rearrange the order lol or just freaking state it. The book is so good and so much fun I couldn't deduct a star for this, though

    I’m so glad that they finally gave Carly and Desmon’s story! It was a cute story and was such a challenge to the finish line, if you’ve read the other books you know who wins but wow that had some twists. The village story was rough, the memories tugged at my heart and broke a little- would’ve done the exact same thing. Loved!

    This is the first "established" couple mentioned in the books, even before Grayson and Shelby. Desmon and Carly have been rock solid (pun intended) throughout the series. I love the set up for this one almost as much as the romance itself!

    Desmon is a dragon. I am sooo happy that this has him caught in the middle of game with other immortals that have stakes that are at least somewhat like something immortals would do (even if in retrospect it is a little silly). However, these same stakes hold real power over the mortals who have entered his life. Especially, his lovely new assistant Carly. She is good-natured and relatable These two are so cute it makes my heart sing. Enjoy!

    This is book seven in the series and this one features a handsome dragon named Desmon. Carly is a human female who has moved for a job in the museum that Desmon owns.     If you're A fan of the series you'll realise this is where it all started. One of out favourite Gargoyle's meets his match at the very wedding of the wonderful couple in this book. So its nice to see their whole story come to life. Desmon is the dragon of Darlington beyond wealthy, A bit eccentric and oh so very handsome! He runs a museum where he displays his treasures that he has accumulated over centuries. When Carly is hired as a tour guide he can't seem to keep his dragon from wanted to hoard her like treasure! Together they try to solve a puzzle that will allow them to find a hidden artifact that Desmon must win in order to stay awake for the next hundred years. Love blooms along the way and many of our favorite characters make a guest appearance. A terrific read and I can't wait to visit Darlington again soon!💖🌟🔥🔥💖🔥🔥🌶🔥💖🌶🌟💖🔥🔥🔥💖💖💖

    I can tell why the Author waited til after to write the prequel. It gives A LOT of future info away. I loved how sweet these two were, and while it wasn't as spicy as some of the others,
    (scenes ok but not long enough with enough detail in my option. As in, the size difference wasn't much of a difference), I still very much enjoyed the ride. It was nice to see how those two got together, and the scene where someone had to "recharge" while in the room with everyone, even his Mom, had me internally lmao 🤣. Although, I don't recalling her BFF getting a guy. I checked all the other books, but unless it was discreetly slipped in there, I didn't see it. I hope this doesn't mean the end for this series. I love these books 🥰
