Hot for the Handyman (The Single Moms of Seattle Book 3) Kindle Edition

4.6 out of 5 stars 466 ratings

He's got just the right tool to fix her broken heart...

Welcome to Seattle, the Emerald City and home to The Single Moms of Seattle. Three sexy single ladies who drink a ton of wine every Saturday night, bitch about life, have each other's backs, are the ultimate mama bears, and hope to one day, just maybe find love again. This is Bianca’s story ...

Bianca’s life is insane. A single mom to three kids, she moved back to her hometown of Seattle after her husband cheated and knocked up his secretary. She’s just trying to get to the next day without pulling out her hair. With a full-time job as a project manager overseeing the renovations on affordable housing, she’s doing her best to put food on the table for her kids while also proving to the world that she can make it on her own—she doesn’t need a man. She does, however, need a handyman.

Cue, Jack. He rides in on his Harley with his smoldering blue eyes, a beard, and sleeves of tattoos to save her from an abusive contractor. He’s also a handyman. A Jack of all trades. Is Bianca’s luck finally changing? But Jack has one condition before he takes the job to finish the renovations on the new four-plex—she cannot fall in love with him. An easy task for sure, right?

She just needs him to get the units rentable, love isn’t even on her radar. But Jack’s not just a flickering flame, he’s an inferno, and Bianca is drawn to him like a moth—singed wings be damned.

What happens when summer is over, Jack’s job ends, and he rides off into the sunset? Will he take Bianca’s heart with him, or will he stay and save her one last time—from heartbreak?

**Note: This book can be read as a standalone. It includes a take-charge man, a strong heroine, lots of emotion, angst and of course as with all my books, this has a happily ever after, and no cliffhanger or cheating. If you liked my single dad series, then you’ll love this spin-off trilogy.

A Canadian West Coast baby born and raised, Whitley is married to her high school sweetheart and together they have two beautiful daughters and a fluffy dog. She spends her days making food that gets thrown on the floor, vacuuming Cheerios out from under the couch and making sure that the dog food doesn’t end up in the air conditioner. But when the kids are at school and it’s not quite wine o’clock, Whitley sits down, avoids the pile of laundry on the couch, and writes.

Ohhhhhh myyyyyy I've found an amazing author to follow!!! Bianca Dixon is a single mom of three after her cheating ex got his secretary pregnant. She left his a$$ in Palm Springs to head home to Seattle to be with her family. Now working as a project manager to oversee the remodel for affordable student housing, Bianca has her hands full with her six year old twin girls, Hannah and Haley, and two year old Charlie. Having to fire her not so handy man for several reasons, including a hooker, Bianca is saved from the smack in the face that never came by a sexy, tattooed Harley rider...swoon. Jack is back in Seattle for the summer then snowbirding it to his bar in Mexico. Jack doesn't have the cleanest past but thanks to getting custody of his son years ago made him clean his life up. Becoming handyman to the sexy single mom wasn't in his plans but damn he can't say no, the only thing he asks... don't fall in love with me... starts as a joke. One taste is all it takes and now it's as regular as coffee in the mornings. Family meets family and all is good, but their time is getting shorter. Jack's heart melts with Bianca's children, she may have a mouth like a sailor (que bad words), but she has a heart of gold and a body for sin. Bianca won't ask him to stay out of fairness to him but she hardens her heart until he's gone and acts like it was just a fling. What happens when Jack's head finally clears of anger to see the hurt in Bianca's eyes and realizes he's just as in love as much as he hopes she is and goes back go the place that feels like home?? OMG I love it!!! Standalone that you won't get lost in if you haven't read the other books, but I'm going to get them and catch up with The Single Moms of Seattle then on to Single Dads of Seattle. I can't wait!!!

This is hands down my favorite Whitley Cox book. It was absolutely perfect from start to finish. I laughed, I cried. I adored Bianca. She was beautiful and feisty and hilarious. I loved her sense of humor. I loved how she was with her kids. Their relationship was so real. Jack was the perfect hero. The chemistry with him and Bianca was intense and magnetic. (The rest of the review will contain spoilers)

I loved how she just went after what she wanted with him—pretty much right off the bat. They agree that they will have a fling only for the summer because Jack lives half the year in Mexico. They begin a hot and intense affair. They can’t help falling deeply for one another even though in the back of their minds they keep telling themselves it’s only temporary. Jack meets her kids and his interactions with them are some of my favorite parts of the book. Her daughters are hilarious and they along with her 2 year old son work their way into his heart. Of course this makes Bianca fall even deeper in love with him. He’s in love with her too but they don’t admit this to each other. He still plans on leaving and when he does it was utterly gut wrenching. I balled my eyes out. Thank God—that doesn’t last long and he realizes his mistake almost immediately. It was an amazing HEA especially the epilogue. I truly loved this book. (I also loved seeing the characters from her previous series Single Dad’s of Seattle -especially Liam lol).

Bianca and Jack is a swoon worthy read, what can you say he loves her kid's and he loves his son and his partner - but its only only the end of August because he needs to be back in Baja for the winter - time will tell if he's able to go back of if he'll stay forever.

All 3 single moms of Seattle books were 10 out of 10. I think I loved each one better than the next. Loved getting to know each lady and their love interest with each chapter, while also continuing to carry on with the previous single moms.

Definitely a Whitley Cox fan for life. Her writing style is just easy flowing and captivates your mind & heart until you fully engulfed into her stories.

The Single Dad and Single Mom series were both simply amazing. With each book it was so easy to get more involved in the lives of each character/family. My favorite was Mark and Tori’s story, which was the first book, but with each story I felt like I was reading about people I truly knew. Also loved how the books tackles such important topics in a fun and intriguing way including Autism, Surrogacy, PTSD, and more.
When I finished this book, the last one, I was sad to see it all end.

Whitley Cox yet again another triumph in writing - every review I have written for this series says the same thing - Brilliant and Hot for the Handyman is just that ........Brilliant! Smouldering Hot, laugh out loud moments intwined with a serious side and blended so well together that you never want it to end!

Each woman in the series has name's for both their vibrators and their men - for Jack the nickname of Double H Hung and Handy' is extremely apt as you will read😜. Jack is only in Seattle for the summer and when he come's across Bianca having trouble with the handyman on the duplex she is reinventing he offers his services in more ways than one.

Out of a messy divorce Bianca is now rising her 6 year twin girls and 2 year boy on her own as their father is on the other side of the country. A summer fling with the handyman sounds like a great idea - 3 months of fun but what starts off as fun suddenly turns into much more. The one thing that Jack warned Bianca not to do "don't fall in love with me"might be to late and for Jack he wasn't expecting 3 little munchkins and their mom to get so far under his skin that leaving at the end of the summer doesn't seem as appealing as it once did!

I loved how Ms Cox blended Jack into Bianca's life, saw behind the strong mom that Bianca portrayed and allowed her inner woman to come out. Jack's interaction with both 2 year old Charlie (what a sweetie) and Hannah and Hayley stole the show!

Not sure what is next as each mom now has their book - but with some many kids it wold be lovely to have a next generation - The Kids of Seattle!

The Dads of Seattle and the Moms of Seattle have been compulsive reading one of the best series I have read!

I loved the first two books in this series and was excited to see what Ms. Cox had in store for the final book in the series. This is Bianca and Jack’s story and was an entertaining read that had me hooked from the first to the last page. What a great addition to a the Single Moms of Seattle Series and I think Bianca and Jacks story is my favourite so far in this fantastic series. As Bianca and a Jack work together on the house reno the attraction they both feel grows, the chemistry is intense and sparks fly. I fell hook, line and sinker for this couple and this book ticked all my boxes, I swooned, I smiled and I laughed with the members of the single moms club. I’m looking forward to where Ms Cox takes us next. Happy reading everyone!!

Very good read. Liked both characters and of course their kids added to the story. Plenty of giggles and a man who takes no nonsense and seemed to have no filter either. Really good read.
