I am a Sign
Language Interpreter, and I have worked as an interpreter in different areas, such as legal and educational. I have studied sign language for over 17 years and had a Deaf relative.
I have been studying sign language for many years, with the aim of creating a functional and practical system for writing words, phrases, and sentences capable of describing the signs that a Deaf person sees when speaking, just as a hearing person writes the sounds of the voices they hear.

I am a Sign Language Interpreter, and I have worked as an interpreter in different areas, such as legal and educational. I have studied sign language for over 20 years and had a Deaf relative.

All of us who have had Deaf family members can understand - at least to some degree - how challenging the world of being unable to hear is for the Deaf. The frustration of not being able to speak like others no matter how hard you try.

Since I was a child, I noticed that the Deaf have their own culture and language, and a different way of perceiving and understanding their environment; which is in no way inferior, just simply different.

The linguistic and cultural barrier between the Deaf and the hearing can be eliminated to a great degree if the Deaf could describe signs in a written form just as the hearing describe sounds in written form.

For this reason, I have been studying sign language for many years, with the aim of creating a functional and practical system for writing words, phrases, and sentences capable of describing the signs that a Deaf person sees when speaking, just as a hearing person writes the sounds of the voices they hear.

It is our most sincere wish that these books achieves this helpful and useful purpose that could considerably benefit many people.
