    What a great follow-up story to Morgan's sister's story! I probably would have been a bit meaner to her whiney ex though. What a douche! I love how Rhaz'k makes friends with her cat and even feeds the grizzly. These hunters are all great and deserve their chance to be happy. The wonderful home on the ledge sounds like my dream house too. 😘. Great story!

    Morgan was managing to survive on her own in the bugpocolypse, at least she thought she was. Then an Alien came along informing her she was in the territory he protected, and gradually things she thought she saw so clearly started looking different.

    Rhaz'k is drawn to Morgan at first sight, but the more he gets to know her, the more he respects her. She grows her own food. Sets her own traps. Makes her own preserves. Dehydrates a share of what comes from her garden so she'll have it during the winter. How can he make this independent woman understand just because she can do it doesn't mean she has to do it all?

    This done in one Kindle Unlimited quick read is a great story about individuals, and some secondary characters who might qualify as loners, discovering the magic of being part of a healthy team.

    This story was different. Taking place on an apocalyptic Earth setting on a mountain was interesting. The couple was written well, and the danger from all sides kept the story moving along. The angst and steam were well-balanced, but I found it hard to immerse myself entirely in this world. The mate bond was also kind of weird with it being literal. I kept thinking about what would happen if they were attacked. It is a decent story. You get your HEA. The other humans were mostly sucky. Liked the cat.

    this book was differently written about space aliens and the scourge that was taking over earth 🌍 and the large venom spitting bugs 🐛 and how they can turn humans into walking zombies 🧟 Morgan has made a life for herself and has great survival skills and in her cabin in the mountains she feels semi safe and is providing for herself and her side kick reeses pieces. but things start too get complicated when her ex comes begging and she reluctantly lets him stay. But the warrior who vows to keep her safe is annoying her with his bossy attitude but she's not afraid of him but is becoming increasingly happy with his presence.

    The story arc has left Franklin and the hunter/human group there for the Rocky Mountains, site of many of my childhood vacations. As is to be expected, a Xarc'n hunter has discovered his fated mate, Morgan, but she is handling the bugpocalypse on her own, is fiercely independent, and not looking for a mate of any kind, especially one as bossy and annoying as Rhaz'k, who has been caught peeking through her window and now seems to be stalking her. Unfortunately, bugs are moving up the mountain, her ex, Tristan, has moved in and is driving her crazy, and the local group of raiders is looking for fresh women. Will Rhaz'k and Morgan get together? Will the hunters get the bugs under control? Plenty of action, some suspense, and a couple of steamy, hot encounters will settle the issue eventually. I'm totally hooked on this series, and if you find the alien brides theme intriguing or irresistible, I highly recommend anything with Xarc'n in the title.

    I brought, own, kept and read as many of the Xarc'n Warrior books as I can find. I was intrigued to find such as series and I was thoroughly surprised at how the story was written. I didn't get absurd aliens, I got well thought out aliens, a great background story and it is totally believable. I've recommended the series to my friends and even though they aren't into science fiction, they read as many as they could get their hands on and have now made alien or science fiction space romances part of their reading lot. You get enough background story to know why they are where they are, and apart from not being human, they are human like. If you've never read a series involving non humans, give this one a go, you'll be quickly absorbed into their world and won't want it to end. Each story has the same spine, but twirls outward from there, making each story individual. The physical interaction scenes are well thought out, well written and a lot of my friends want their own warrior. Not a leave them at the bedroom door romance, but not a romance based around just the physical interaction. If the individual stories don't drag you in, the warriors and their firey Human females will. A realistic future. A great portal to start your introduction to science fiction in general and a wonderful place for a very different romance. Highly recommended. Definitely a series that will be forever in my collection.
