Hunter's Valentine: A Post-Apocalyptic Alien Romance (Xarc'n Warriors) Kindle Edition

4.6 out of 5 stars 838 ratings

Food and water? Check. Shelter? Check. Weapons and ammo? Check. Check.

I thought I was ready when the apocalypse came, but I wasn’t prepared for dirty bunker politics. Realizing I’m no longer welcomed, I step foot into a hostile landscape, ready to face down the deadly space bugs in search of a new home.

It’s just my luck that I run afoul of a
massively muscular, horned and fanged Xarc’n warrior on my very first day out. Mur’k carries me back to his hideout, claiming that I owe him for messing up his hunt.

Nope! No way! I didn’t survive the bugs just to become some cocky warrior’s plaything. I don’t care if he’s
hot as sin and purrs like a big cat. I’m going to make it to New Franklin on my own if it’s the last thing I do!

A Hunter’s Valentine is a standalone novella-length story set in the Xarc’n Warriors universe featuring a protective hero with alien anatomy. It takes place between Book 8 and 9, but there’s no need to read in order. HEA guaranteed!

A Cozier Story in the Xarc'n Series

A Cozier Story in the Xarc'n Series
There is a bit less drama in this visit to Lynnea Lee's post-apocalyptic Earth than in other Xarc'n stories but it is a quick fun read with some action and adventure. the 'Xarc'n Warriors' series is a must-read. 'Hunter's Valentine' provides another wonderful story within this world. I loved how Mur'k and Sara's attraction overcame their stubbornness!

I enjoyed reading this story about Sara (human woman) and Mur'k (Xarc'n warrior). The main characters were likeable. This took place on a post apocalyptic Earth. Mur'k and the other Xarc'n warriors were on Earth to eradicate the scourge, which had overtaken the Earth. The scourge were different types of alien bugs that somehow ended up on Earth and were both carnivores and big. The main characters met when Mur'k saved Sara from a swarm of the scourge. The Xarc'n warriors were genetically engineered to fight the scourge, which apparently had invaded other planets.

The sex was hot when they got around to it. Mur'k hadn't wanted a mate but he got over that right quickly when he scented Sara. The author did a good job of describing what Mur'k looked like. There was an epilogue that showed them at least a year down the road with Mur'k getting his block on fertility removed so they could have a child (which I thought was refreshing because it's usually the woman who has to stop taking something, or have something removed, in order to have a baby).

I love this series and this was great for a holiday short. It is so cool to see how new Franklin is thriving. It’s also good seeing more humans realize the reality of their situation.

Story paints very graphic details of some grotesque bugs and the events that lead our female character into the fight for her life mode. Fortunately for her our alien warrior is able to assist and a bond is built.

I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Short and sweet. I can't get enough of this series. I have read this whole series but now I have to look and make sure I haven't missed any. If you haven't read any of the series start at the beginning, they're all just as good.

This was the perfect little interlude for the valentine holiday. Mur’k, a lonely hunter whose sole goal is to kill bugs and free the planet. He's not looking for a mate or a lover until he meets Sara. Sara escapes a bad situation and decides to head to New Franklin to start new life. On the way there disaster strikes and a snowstorm hits forcing her into the path of the bugs and other who have been infected by the fungus. She's did mean to ruin Mur’k's hunting! The attraction is strong and mutual. Its the perfect before bed read with a good book a blanket and a cup of tea! You have to read and find out if Valentine's Day is a success or if they part and go they're separate way? I highly recommend you give this a try💖🔥🌟💖🔥🌟💖🔥🌟💖🔥🌟💖🔥🌟💖🔥

I absolutely love Lynnea Lee's Xarc'n series (they're the only books I buy without reading on KU first) and this one is no different.
The Xarc'n warriors are always the sweetest of cinnamon rolls and the women are always brave badasses.
I hope there's plenty more to come for this series.
