    J'ai pris ce livre parce que j'ai aimé "Awakened Womb" (même s'il n'y a qu'un tome pour le moment) et la série "The Dragonfate Games".
    Ce ne sont pas des livres coup de cœur, mais j'aime la volonté de l'auteur d'écrire des histoires qui n'ont pas été lues des centaines de fois.

    Dans ce livre, nous avons donc Gabriel qui ne veut pas du destin qui lui est imposé, à savoir s'accoupler avant la nouvelle lune ou être exilée à l'extérieur des murs de béton où rodent des humains qui dépècent les métamorphes dans l'espoir de s'accaparer leur capacité à changer de forme.
    J'ai aimé ce synopsis. Gabriel a entendu des rumeurs sur ce qui se passe à l'extérieur : les âmes sœurs, ..
    Il ne veut pas être réduit à un appareil reproducteur.

    Sans surprise, il rencontre Dante le dragon et ils se sautent dessus immédiatement. Sans se poser de questions.

    Il y a deux points dans cette histoire qui auraient dû être un peu mieux développés.
    - Plusieurs mois de vie commune après, Gabriel semble surpris de découvrir que lui et Gabriel sont des âmes sœurs. Il en a pourtant entendu parler dans son ancienne meute. C'est ce qu'il désirai pour lui. Il a sauté dans le pantalon d'un parfait inconnu (ce dont il ne vouait pas) et pourtant, tous ces indices ne lui ont pas mis la puce à l'oreille.
    - Il va voir Scar, le harceler même alors que ce dernier veut qu'on le laisse tranquille. Il lui pose des questions dont les réponses ne lui serviront jamais.

    I enjoyed this book and the author’s way of creating an image but it did feel a little rushed at some points. The characters are well written but the one scene with Scar almost didn’t need to be in the book. There was no hesitation or denial from Scar saying who he was or what happened to him. Generally, it takes a bit of time and coaxing of characters like this. I would have loved to hear more of his background.

    Also, the mix of the little bit of modern technology here and there felt off. The humans were fighting with spears but the dragons had cell phones? Seemed weird.

    Despite this I still enjoyed the book and will continue to read the series to see what happens next!

    The story is really amazing, I like how Gabriel didn't just lay with Dante, he have all the lore going on and this is not something we see in many omegaverse books, normaly all is around the alpha and at the same time they are a lovely couple.

    But, I think they get together too soon and I know they are fated mates, but they change their minds really fast about having a mate and it could have been a bit slower.

    Four stars because it grabbed me and held me at the beginning but then lost me once the main couple got together. I love Omegaverse stories especially when shifters are involved and this book was no exception. The omega in this one lost me when he was rebelling against his mate. The way in which he did it did not sit well with me.

    I would reread this book but not in it's entirety.
