Hunted: The Daughter of Ice and Moonlight (The Coldest Fae Book 6) Kindle Edition

4.5 out of 5 stars 157 ratings

To escape my fate, I fled to Earth... now I'm stuck here.

Earth isn't a safe place for the Fae, but it had to have been safer than staying in Arcadia where some horrible monster was about to end my life... right? So, I made a snap decision, opened a portal, and threw myself, Valerian, and Tallin through it.

Totally thought that through. There's no way that decision wasn't going to come back to bite me in the butt. Only it did, because now we're stuck here, in London, where my mother used to live.

I'm lucky my grandmothers didn't forget who I was after the mess I got into with that crone. If not for them, we would have nowhere to go, no way of recharging our magic, and no way of getting home. As it is, things are looking dicey at best... and Valerian still doesn't know I'm the reason he's stuck here, too.

Who would have thought the two of us would have a Fate Bond?

All the signs were there, but maybe I didn't want to know.

The Daughter of Ice and Moonlight is a thrilling spin-off to Katerina's hit fantasy romance series, The Coldest Fae! If you loved those books, then you're going to love these even more, as we go back to Arcadia and turn another page in the story of the Winter Kingdom!

Book 6 of The Coldest Fae drops us immediately right back into the story of Amara and Valerian now being in the human realm. I wish there was a recap, I do enjoy when books include those at the beginning, but I fondly remembered the prior books and I did not struggle much with remember characters or aspects.

I do like Amara, however I get frustrated with her lack of communication skills. She's a bit too impulsive and doesn't really try to get all of the information before she does things, which is why she's always finding herself in difficult situations.

I love Valerian though, and he seems to balance out her character since he is much more observant and thinks things through before he does them usually.

This is a great book, and honestly it was a very quick read - too quick. I finished it within a couple days of release, and I was very frustrated when it ended so abruptly to me. I definitely give it 5 stars as I loved the adventure, family-ness, and passion. I may have read it too fast, and so I struggle with the feeling that I did not get enough with this book. I cannot wait for the final book to come out!

This read was absolutely phenomenal! I loved everything about it from beginning to end. We get to see old familiar faces and learn more about them, which I thoroughly enjoyed, while also seeing huge character growth in Amara while she is realizing the true depths of what she did.
Hunted starts off immediately where Lost finished and will take your emotions for a ride. That ending left my eyes wide and I can't wait to see what happens next! Definitely an easy 1-click! If you haven't started the series, I highly encourage you to do so!

It’s been a while since we last checked in with Amara, but that didn’t mean it took me any time at all to settle into this latest installment of her adventures. Their latest escape from the hunter of Fate landed them back on Earth, possibly the least likely place they thought they’d end up. However, that provided us readers with all kinds of entertainment as we watched Amara and Valerian adjust to the world we’re used to. While they do, Fate’s hunter continued to pursue them, forcing some revelations and bringing us to that jaw-dropping ending. I’m not even going to try and guess where the author will take us next, I simply know that I need the rest of this story and I NEED it NOW!

Chased by Fate, Amara, Valerian & Tallin fight for their lives. They need to escape Fate and return to Arcadia to try and get their stolen lives back. The longer Amara and Valerian fight together for their lives, the closer their bond grows. Now toss in Amara's three mage grandmothers, some magic misfires, and a bit of steamy romance and you have an awesome, sizzling, and action-packed story. Amazing book by Katerina Martinez!

I was afraid I wouldn't remember but wow, these books have a special place in my brain, and heart. Love Amara! Loving Valerian even more now ;) I laughed, I cried, almost shot my 'brick' across the room because it wouldn't stop bugging me! LOL
So surprising in the end. I'm nervous... don't want to lose anyone!! You hear that Katerina!! I can not wait until the next one!!
