I Dream of Cassie: A Student-Teacher Age-Gap Romance (Kirk University) Kindle Edition
FREE IN KINDLE UNLIMITED
What was going through Diego’s mind when he met Cassie?Diego Valentine has always been a sensible, level-headed man. The kind of man who stayed with the same woman for over a decade, and worked hard to become a respected professor in his field at a young age.
But life isn’t always straightforward. His hope of a smooth divorce goes sour when his ex-wife Linda demands part of his financial assets. Not to mention his brother, Matty, won’t stop trying to set Diego up with random women now that he’s separated.
But then, Diego begins taking beautiful and spirited Cassandra for one-and-one tutorials.
Diego is strangely drawn to Cassie — she is charming, lively, and not afraid to go after what she wants.
Could he be falling for her?
No. That would be far too inappropriate. After all, she is half his age and his student.
The sensible thing would be to resist.
But Cassie doesn’t quit that easily…

About the author

Diana Vale is a British contemporary romance author. She writes grounded, coming-of-age new adult stories with warm heart and plenty of steam. Her characters can be described as confident nice guys with a light-hearted sense of humour, and spunky imperfect girls with sass and fire.
Her Kirk Uni-Verse consists of three main series: the Kirk University series (heterosexual couples), the Kirk Guys series (m/m couples), and the Kirk Gals series (f/f couples). All books take place at the charming fictitious city of Kirk in northern England (based on the real-life University of York).
Follow these students as they enter adulthood on their quests for personal growth. Watch as they find their soulmates along the way. Various topics are explored, from addiction and OCD, to the struggles of falling for your significantly older university professor. But inevitably, love prevails.
If you enjoy sexy, diverse, and thought-provoking tales, dive on in today. All books are exclusively in Kindle Unlimited.

- Reviewed in the United States on March 17, 2022I am a sucker for a student teacher romance novel and this one exceeded all of my expectations! I have not read any books by this author before now and I cannot wait to read more! Diego is going through some hard times when he is offered to take over a fellow teacher's classwork while she goes on maternity leave and this is where he meets Cassie. From the moment he meets her, he is drawn to her and cannot stop wanting to see her or learning more about this woman who has so captured his attention. I could not put this story down and cannot want to re-read it over and over again.
- Reviewed in the United States on March 20, 2022This book is a companion novel to book one of the series and is told in Diego’s point of view. This is the first book I’ve read by this author but I am definitely going to go back and read the other books in this series.
Diego isn’t exactly having the easiest of times right now. His divorce is getting messy and nothing is going his way. Diego agrees to take over for a fellow teacher as she goes out on maternity leave. This is how he meets Cassie. It’s after some one-on-on tutoring sessions that he is beginning to fall for her. Of course that’s a no no, she’s a student. They are drawn together and Diego can’t help but wanting to be close to her.
I really enjoyed this story. It was so well written, I just got pulled right into the story. I am definitely going to read the other books in this series.
- Reviewed in the United States on March 18, 2022This emotional raw story is about a man torn between what he thinks is right and finding his heart again. After a difficult marriage that is ending in a prolonged divorce, Diego Valentine is trying to keep his life on track but is suddenly derailed by the deeply immense and growing feelings he has developed for one of his students, Cassie Rodriguez. Cassie is an anomaly. She is mature, grounded, thoughtful, so sure of herself and all at the age of 18. Diego fights his feelings for Cassie, trying to do what he thinks is right for her.
Diego’s tortured feelings for Cassie are poured over every page. They coat you in his deep love, smother you with the need to protect, rip you apart with selflessness, and heat you with his desire. This is the inside guide to a man’s emotions that women want. Beautifully written.
- Reviewed in the United States on March 20, 2022Meeting Cassie and Diego yet again! This is a short novella that is told well and made me wish it was just a bit longer. I truly enjoy the way the author has written this book. The 2 companion stories coincide perfectly with the initial book, and getting the perspective from Cassie and Diego individually is the icing on the cake.
Diego is a man who dismissed love and anything associated with the word out of his life after divorcing his ex wife. As he tries to find his footing placing his life back together he also finds Cassie along the way. Diego felt a pull to Cassie the moment they met, and the age difference nor her being a student couldn't derail the attraction and chemistry of these 2. Diego's story reflects a man in love with no sight in end.
- Reviewed in the United States on March 20, 2022If you read Professor Valentine, you should really read this book! I Dream of Cassie, is from the Professor’s point of view. I couldn’t resist reading it when I heard it was being released.
I recommend reading Professor Valentine first then come back and read this one. It won’t disappoint. It took some time but as I got further into it, I really started to remember the story from Cassie’s point of view. Nice to see his inner turmoil over how he was feeling and what he loves about her. If you like these types of romances check it out!
- Reviewed in the United States on March 12, 2022This is an amazing short read. It has both POVs and I love that in a book, I feel it helps round out the story line. This book is also really well written. I only give it 4 stars because I feel like it could have been longer. I felt that the scenes, even though written really well, could have been longer. The crazy dynamic between the two main characters and their shenanigans to keep their inappropriate relationship a secret is highly entertaining. It is a very fast paced book that I couldn't put down. The growth of the characters is appropriate for the pace of the book. I just wish there was more. I would recommend this book to anyone who loves a good age gape, inappropriate, wholesome love story.
- Reviewed in the United States on March 18, 2022This student/teacher age gape romance was a good story to read on my weekend off. It was well written and I enjoyed the attention to detail. It was the forbiddenness of the romance that I always enjoy and the author did really well with this one. I am looking forward to reading more by this author!
Happy Reading!

I Dream of Cassie: A Student-Teacher Age-Gap Romance is the companion story to ‘Professor Valentine’, the first book in the Kirk University series. It gives us a fuller picture of what was happening, as this is from Diego’s perspective. It is a short story- a novella that made for a very quick and easy read.
This is a new adult contemporary student-teacher romance- with an age-gap, angst, and some drama.
Book one was what happened when 18 year old Cassandra Rodriguez, a psychology student and freshman at Kirk University, falls for her professor? This story gives us Diego’s point of view on it all, and made for some interesting reading.
Thank you, Diana Vale.
