If She's Found: A totally addictive psychological thriller with a shocking final twist Kindle Edition
Devoted wife.
Adoring mom.
Killer?
My daughter’s missing. And the police think I killed her.
Monday, 8 a.m. I go to wake up eight-year-old Bella to get her ready for school.
She’s not there.
My husband Charlie and I put her to bed as usual the night before. We kissed her goodnight. Just like we always do.
Things like this don’t happen to people like us. Not in a quiet little town like Spencer, Michigan.
Detective Anne Briar is leading the case. I know she suspects I’m not telling her everything. I see it in the way her eyes narrow ever so slightly. And she’s right.
No one must ever know what really happened the night Bella disappeared.
AN EXHILARATING PSYCHOLOGICAL SUSPENSE WITH TWISTS THAT WILL MAKE YOU GASP.
This addictive thriller full of twists is perfect for fans of Freida McFadden, Jeneva Rose, A. R. Torres, Anya Mora and Sonya Bateman.

About the author

Alesha Dykema is a thirty-something-year-old author of thriller novels. She lives in the dreadful Midwest with her strange husband, head-banging toddler son, a neurotic dog, and warden cat. Besides writing, Alesha loves to read (like every other author in the world). Alesha is also a health and fitness junkie and a dabbler in furniture refinishing. She is extremely anti-social and wishes she lived off-grid in the middle of the woods, but her husband hates good ideas and happiness and won’t allow this to happen. Even though she’s pretty anti-social, she still likes to make new friends and have casual chats about people’s childhood traumas.

- Reviewed in the United States on February 3, 2025I’ve never read this author before but I’m glad I found her. I couldn’t put this book down. All along, you’re kept guessing. I’d go, “oh I think I know what’s going to happen here” but no, I’d be completely wrong and it would take off in another direction. It was so well written that it really got me emotionally. The pain the parents felt when their child goes missing; the suspicious detective, the loud annoying workmate - you feel it all as if you’re in the room with the characters. The storyline was brilliant and it all tied up perfectly in the end, leaving no questions unanswered. There was a unique style to this book. I will definitely be reading another book from this author.
- Reviewed in the United States on February 4, 2025While I enjoyed the book, I found 2 bothersome points. 1. The use of f... without meaning or reason. There was a bunch of it in the middle of the book telling me the author thought it was a good thing. I almost put the book down.
2. It's scary to think someone can so easily justify actions such as these. I'm not giving the plot away. It bothered my reasoning but then maybe it does need to be bothered.
- Reviewed in the United States on February 13, 2025At first for a minute during the first two chapters I was like wait what’s going on?? I felt like I had showed up in the middle of the story lol but it quickly started to come together and make sense and by then I was HOOKED!!
Definitely recommend yall checking it it out. Thanks for the wonderful read Alesha Dykema
- Reviewed in the United States on February 20, 2025Once it did, it moved quickly. I know it's fiction, but do serial killers really have remorse? Guess you will find oit.
- Reviewed in the United States on February 19, 2025This was a real page turner and excitement to read. I thought I had the "guilty" person nailed. I was wrong. I didn't see the end coming. This is a great read. I recommend it.

Alesha Dykema's If She's Found is a gripping psychological thriller that will absolutely hit close to home, especially with parents. Andi and Charlie's 8 year old daughter Bella is missing. The police are called in to investigate and the lead detective seems to think that they know more than they are saying. When an unknown person starts to stir things up, Andi knows she needs to make sure her past stays in the past. This book goes back and forth between when Bella went missing to the aftermath. The tension that leads up to finding out what really happened is thick. Most of the book we do not know exactly what happens or why, just that something tragic occurred. As Andi and Charlie try to stay one step ahead of the police we are given tidbits of information about what it is that these parents know. Dykema's writing style is very fluid and emotional, delving deep into the emotional turmoil of every parents worst nightmare. This was my first read by this author but I am definitely going to read more!
Thank you to NetGalley, Alesha Dykema, and Joffe Books for this ARC. Expected publishing date is December 27th 2024

5.0 out of 5 stars You never know where it's going
You won't know where it's going until the last chapter. First person fiction at it's best you don't know if the author is victim or villain.
