Valerie Larouche is a traditionally published author who’s made the jump into the indie world.

A fan of Agatha Christie and Edgar Allan Poe, her genre of predilection is mystery, but she dabbles in Gothic literature and fantasy as well. Obsessed with dreams, hauntings, and a good eerie ambience, she writes stories where shadows move and nightmares have meaning.

When she’s not writing, Valerie can be found bingeing a murder mystery series, playing eerie video games, or wishing she was at Walt Disney World going in and out of the Haunted Mansion ride in an endless loop.

Valerie lives in the Greater Montreal region with her fiancé, a hundred plushies, and way more stationery than anyone could need in a lifetime.

Dee is back to stay in her hometown of Montreal and she is going to use her gift to support her self. Thanks to Alma and her husband Carl she’s been referred to one of the wealthiest families in town the daughter Marianne Remblaice and it is a case she could probably saw very easily if not forgetting lost in the whole Alison Wonderland mystery not to mention the serious problems a long lost family member brings to her door. Just the descriptions of some of the dreams in these books can be very claustrophobic and that isn’t a bad thing the one in this book was about a girl in a room made of glass and then one of her first dreams and the others it filled up with water and OMG if I don’t get you sitting up in bed I don’t know what will. The authors talent for describing the dreams in my opinion is a rare one and that makes this far from being a cozy mystery but a legitimate missing person/murder mystery. I was so glad to see Jake was once again mentioned in this book because I hate when they have great characters never to be seen again but as I said not the case in the Odessa Baker Mystery series. Oh I am very new to paranormal mysteries but not so new I haven’t read some bad ones in this book is stellar a real great mystery with great imagination that in my opinion makes for a five star book. I want to thank Book Sirens, The author and publisher for this great arc please forgive any mistakes as I am blind and dictate my review.

This second book in the series is, in my opinion, better than the first. More twists and turns, more red herrings than the First book. I read it in one sitting. The characters continue to grow. They also continue to throw the reader off track. I really am enjoying reading this series. Can’t wait for the third book.

I adored the first book in the series, and have been looking forward to this book for quite some time. Last night, I grabbed it, thinking I would just read one chapter. Around 1am, I was debating whether or not I was awake enough for the final chapters.

This book did not disappoint.

Dee is a psychic who finds people by entering their dreams and gathering clues on how to find them. Of course, dreams are never straightforward and, lately, her dreams have been hijacked by a woman holding a rabbit. With her bank account nearly as low as her faith in her abilities, Dee gets offered the chance to find a missing heiress. Can Dee find her or will she add another failed customer review to her "Yelp" Collection.

I really enjoyed this book and can't wait to read the next book in the series. The author's ability to deftly navigate the dream world and her ability to sprinkle clues in ways that are only obvious in retrospect added a new depth to her prose.

Interference
Sometimes the second book in a series is disappointing to me. But Valerie Larouche ups her game with Odessa's second installment. I could feel her confusion trying to understand her dreams. I can't wait for book number three! Highly recommend this series! I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

I really enjoyed my reading! From the beginning, Dee's dreams intrigued me, so I had difficulty putting the book down.
I liked everything, the characters, the plot, and the resolution. I can't wait to read the sequel!
