Isolate is book two of the NOLA Defiance MC series of interconnected standalones. I absolutely love this book and this series! It is quickly becoming one of my favorite MC series! City and Izzy have been best friends since they were little. But when Izzy falls in love with Dice, City’s other best friend and MC brother, he can’t sit around and watch them. He decides to move chapters so that he doesn’t have to watch his best friends be in love. But when Izzy’s life is in danger she knows that City is the only one that can protect her. And City will do anything for Izzy! This book has action, suspense, heartbreak, drama, secrets, revenge, mystery, and spice! This book made me laugh, cry, get angry and also put a smile on my face! I can’t wait for the next book and more of the NOLA Defiance MC!

    City was to afraid to cross that line, as she was his best friend for so long that he couldn’t lose her by making a move. Staying back allowed his friend to the make his move and now he has to watch their happiness. City fled to NOLA to put distance, so he could ease the pain of not having her. Then things take a turn and she comes running to him. Now does he have his chance or will she be taken again? Definitely recommend this book and series.

    NOLA Defiance is getting better and better. I devoured this story, we met city in Hurricane's book. He is a transplant from the LA Defiance and he left for a reason. Yet when Izzy is in danger she wants to go to him the one she trusts with her life. City has no clue she is coming but he can't turn her away. So she stays and slowly City's secret unravels and Izzy is questioning if it's always been City instead of Dice. Events take place that bring them hyper aware, their chemistry once it explodes is off the charts. I loved City and Izzy's story and can't wait for more from NOLA Defiance.

The road to happiness isn’t easy for them as they deal with all the craziness that Dice has brought into their lives. I voluntarily read an ARC of this book and this is my honest review.

    The NOLA Defiance MC Series is a spin-off from the Houston Defiance MC Series. Don’t worry if you haven’t read the previous series, you won’t be lost in any way that I can think of at the moment. That doesn’t mean that any of the books within each series can be read as a standalone, because they cannot, because that is the way of MC romance series.

    I #bingeread this entire series (all 6 books) between July and August (2023) and it was one of the best reading experiences of my life! I love MC romances and KE knows how to bring it in this genre so it was time well spent for this reader!

    Isolate is book two of the series. It’s a friends-to-more kinda situation starring Izzy & City. Without giving away any plot points, there is some serious history between these two; history that isn’t quite history but more present day that ramps up the level of emotion in the story. That’s all you get on that point because anything else would just give the plot away.

    Isolate tested me LOL well, to be fair, the lack of communication between Izzy and City tested me. As I sit here to write this review and look at my notes, I’m not quite sure how to tell you more about that without giving the plot away, except to scream … man up City, Jesus! City had all the personality traits you’d expect from a biker, except when it came to Izzy he was just so darn uuuuuuuuugh! Izzy was not! She was the typical heroine I have come to expect from KE with enough sass and spitfire to set anyone on fire! She had her down moments, no one is perfect LOL
    Their story thoroughly entertained me and broke my heart all at the same time. There are some aspects of the story I wish were different or maybe developed differently, but it’s not my story to tell, and even as is, it is a well developed, character driven story.

    I much preferred this one to the previous in this series. The second chance MC romance was sweet in the relationship part and gritty in the MC part.
