About the author

Natalia grew up bilingual and spent every summer in a quaint village in Spain with her grandparents and many cousins. She absolutely loves languages and different cultures and studied BA Hons in Modern Foreign Languages at The University of Portsmouth. She's travelled extensively around Latin America and Spain and teaches Spanish after schools clubs. By merging the two experiences, she decided to write bilingual books for children. She's the founder of the independent children's publisher Bilingo Books. As well as publishing bilingual books, she's on a mission to teach kids the importance of being kind to one another, which is why she published her latest book "Kindness Means..." and will soon be available in different languages.

5.0 out of 5 stars lovely book
Read this book to my seven years old who has a similar story to Carlo. I am Italian and dad is English and he is bilingual but sometimes words can be messed up together or culture can interfere. Although there is always a way to find a way to meet two cultures together and to be happy. Lovely story to read to children and I was very impressed with the drawings too.

My son - whose name is Carlo loved this book, it’s great to read in both English and Italian and the story is very relatable for kids with Italian heritage. It’s a sweet story and the illustrations are great.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good book about acceptance and positivity
The book is about a young boy he needs to accept his multicultural background and learn to see that being part of 2 cultures also has its positive aspects. Furthermore , it also teaches others to accept children with multicultural backgrounds. They can all learn from each other. A good read for young children and their parents to learn about the challenges being bilingual may bring.
