The Jackalope Jaunt (Fairytale Mates Book 9) Kindle Edition

4.4 out of 5 stars 445 ratings

Can a city omega resist the alpha cowboy lassoing his heart?

As the only omega in his biology research unit, Frederick has a chip on his shoulder. No matter how hard he works, his alpha coworkers don't respect him. Determined to prove his worth, Frederick embarks on a solo trip to the dangerous field to prove once and for all that he's just as capable as any alpha.

Until his car breaks down in the middle of the desert.

Jake's lonely in more ways than one. His beautiful ranch home is surrounded by nothing but miles of sand, his only company is the grocery delivery guy, and on top of that, he has a secret he can't reveal to anyone—he's a jackalope shifter.

But when Jake finds out about a busted car near his ranch and someone who needs his help, the rugged cowboy can't refuse the call—especially when that stranded city boy turns out to be his fated mate.

The Jackalope Jaunt is a sweet and fluffy 20k mpreg novella featuring a human omega, an alpha jackalope shifter, and a whole lotta sweet tea. It is a standalone with no cheating and an HEA.

Omega Frederick insists to his boss he’s prepared and ready to do the field research in the desert on his own. Enjoy how Frederick and alpha Jackalope shifter Jake meet in the desert, handle challenges together, and appreciate the fun, thrills and growing love of their fated bond!!!

Sweet little novella. I enjoyed Jake the most. I am sort of confused about if he's letting Frederick release the information that he's a shifter or only that jackalopes exist. Because I would think they would want to keep that info quiet. Other than a couple of little errors, this was just what I was looking for after my last read. I think this whole series has been pretty good overall!

When a scientist and a shifter meet, strange things can happen! Frederick, skilled scientist and theorist, is sick to death of his alpha coworkers. Make that alphahole coworkers. He goes out in the desert on a small scientific expedition. When his car breaks down, has no phone service and is frustrated not knowing what to do, Jake shows up with a smile and an offer of help. When Frederick takes a good look at him, all of his wildest cowboy fantasies suddenly become realities. When Jake, sees Frederick he knows his heart is taken. Life just gets better with the two of them together. This was a really cute story and I enjoyed reading it definitely looking forward to the next one.

So heartwarming and sweet, with that perfect kick of spice. This was a delightful read, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I can’t wait to read the next in the series.

They made a joke about having twins so why not make that a surprise thing? It's not like they couldn't have had twins at home since this is a weird fictional story so it could have happened. Haven't had twins in this series yet so this was a great opportunity plus a rabbit....?

Talk about opposites attract. A rugged cowboy alpha, a smart omega scientist. When the Omega’s car breaks down, the Alpha is to the rescue. Instant attraction and steamy scenes makes this book so much fun. A beautiful HEA too.

Were they supposed to meet, did Fate have a part to play in this ? I was left with lots of questions because we had just met them.

A cute addition to this series. Fun to see a jackalope shifter for a change the ending felt a bit rushed but a sweet little read.
