    I could tell what this book wanted to be, but it didn’t quite hit it, unfortunately. It was mainly negatively affected by a lack of consistency in plot details as well as the fact that it didn’t seem like Owen actually wanted to be with Barrett for large parts of the book. We keep hearing about how they have been best friends for 10+ years and have been in love and pining all that time, but they seem to barely know each other, and Owen doesn’t trust Barrett. By the end I’m not sure I wanted them to be together as they seemed to have incompatible personalities.

    Some of the plot was cute and it could’ve been really good if simplified and shortened, but things kept being added and it felt very contrived. They sleep together early and we don’t learn that they’re actually officially a couple until the epilogue, and all that time in between, Owen repeats the same internal thoughts about how they are incompatible (which they clearly aren't).

    This feels really negative now, but it’s always a shame when it’s nearly really, really good. So much of the book builds on the fact that these guys are best friends, but they genuinely don’t feel like it, which then affects everything.

    This is still what I’d call a baby author so I fully expect many of these things (including editing) to improve with time. You can tell that the ideas and bones for something really good is there.

    The age play and play dates with the other Littles was adorable and I enjoyed the focus on Owen struggling with his own regression and the development of him getting comfortable with Barrett and his friends. I always enjoy kinky rep where the MCs aren’t the ‘typical’ type/body that is expected.

    I loved this one. I haven’t read many ABDL books but this one turned my heart into a puddle. Owen is such a sweet little baby and Bear’s undying love for him makes me a little jealous. I wish I could have gotten one more scene with Owen’s regression though. I would have preferred that as the epilogue. Both parts of the epilogues were kinda weird to me. It kinda came out of nowhere and didn’t make a ton of sense but overall it was a great read

    In Just a little Love, Barrett was the larger than life friend of Gabe. Owen kept himself to himself, not the one to socialise, all we know was he was great as an in-house designer. Now it was their story.
    Having been best friends since college, they both wanted each other but there was always something holding them back.
    Whilst I have read quite a few books with a daddy and little boy, not many also have ABDL. Owen and Barrett were two characters I liked straight away and as the story progressed you could understand why Owen was so private. Whilst this took some time for them to be in a relationship you could see it was well worth the wait for them. The bear storyline was unexpected and who doesn't love a cat. There was low-angst, a lot of meddling and Barrett had so much patience when it came to Owen.
    It was good to catch up with Gabe and Rory and even though we do not know much about Reed and Jakob, it has made me curious to know more of their story and like other reviews I really want Anders HEA
    I am looking forward to the next series to see how Nico gets on with Levi
