    Love the age gap and the instalove between these two . The band to Pheobe s restaurant was cute and quirky . Despite the age difference these two were on the same page . The steamy scenes were nice and I loved their ending.

    This book was so cute! I loved the humor in the story.

    And I especially loved the representation of misophonia. It's not something I knew much about going in...but found that Karla addressed it/included it with such care and dignity for the character.

    Betsy was an adorable neurodivergent add to the couple/romance...I'm a sucker for a single dad story.

    Also the age gap / silver fox aspect - YES!! LOVED.

    A Very fun and enjoyable quick read!

    I struggled to get into this book, but didn't lower my rating because that's not necessarily a fault of the book. The mood of the story didn't suck me in. It's a short novella, but has a good amount of development packed in. The characters aren't flat and there's a lot of focus on sealing with the hero's disability. I thought the meet cute might be cringe-worthy and embarrassing, but not at all. I liked how she just put herself out there at the coffee shop with confidence and honesty. There's plenty of awkward at their first date, then lots of honest communication before heading off to bed.

    This book was surprisingly relatable despite its cheesy premise! Who doesn't love a good romance paired with some tasty tacos? Phoebe, a 33-year-old socially awkward singleton, runs Just in Queso in Magnolia Point. She harbors a not-so-secret crush on Basil, the silver fox who frequents her restaurant weekly. At 52, Basil is a father to 12-year-old Betsy. The instant connection between Phoebe and Basil felt genuine, and their story unfolded in a way that mirrored real-life relationships. Despite each character having their own set of challenges, they managed to navigate them together and grow as individuals. It was a sweet and speedy read, and the ending left me feeling thoroughly satisfied!

    This is a fun, entertaining read. Basil and Pheobe are interesting, entertaining, intriguing, fun, relatable, complex characters. I enjoyed these characters and the way that their romance played out. Betsy – Basil’s daughter is fun and she added a lot to the story. The secondary characters added to the fabric of the story.
