About the author

Christa Nardi is an accomplished author of cozy mysteries. Christa's background is in higher education and psychology, much as her protagonist, Sheridan Hendley in the Cold Creek mystery series. She has always loved mysteries - reading them, writing them, and solving them. Christa is a member of Sisters in Crime. When not writing or reading, Christa and her husband enjoy travel, three grandchildren, and their dogs.
Murder at Cold Creek College is the first in the Cold Creek series, set in a small, fictitious town in Virginia and Sheridan is an accidental sleuth called on to assist the detective in charge of a colleague's murder. The fifth and last in the series, Murder and a Wedding, was released on August 10, 2017. Sheridan may be moving, but she still gets involved in mysteries with the Sheridan Hendley series.
Christa also authors the Stacie Maroni Myseries. Stacie is a strong female at a crossroads in her life who works with victims of domestic violence. Going back to memories of the Dana Girls,
Christa collaborates with Cassidy Salem on a YA mystery series featuring teen sisters.

- Reviewed in the United States on November 10, 2022I liked this cute mystery. Narrator Naomi Rose-Mock voiced the story well. I liked the characters. It was easy to listen to it.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 28, 2024Each book has a mystery and a conclusion. But, each book also expands on the characters and their relationships. I highly recommend starting at the beginning to get the full enjoyment and picture.
- Reviewed in the United States on January 17, 2023Talk about a first date that I for one would like a redo of--without the shooting but with the same guy! Stacie Maroni, never trying to, always seemed to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. All she really wanted was to get on with her life. Her husband had been murdered, her ex father in law never failed to try to tell her what to do or not to do--And she really liked the new "friend" in her life O'Hare. Of course she has a little dog who is much better at knowing the good guys from the bad guys!

- Reviewed in the United States on November 7, 2022I enjoyed book 7 of the "Stacie Maroni Mystery" series a lot. This book moved from one exciting scene to the next as Stacie became part of the murder investigation. I was very entertained by the character of Stacie as she was intelligent, brave, and vocal. Once the audiobook had started, I listened to the end as I had to know what would happen next. I'm looking forward to more Stacie Maroni mysteries. Naomi Rose-Mock's narration was good as her performance gave a voice to the characters. I was given a free copy of the audiobook, and I have voluntarily posted this review.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 18, 2021Keepsakes, Karma & Murder is another exciting book in the Stacie Maroni Mystery series. I love these characters and their adventures so much. Stacie, a trauma counselor, always seems to run across dead bodies. This well written mystery has a great cast of characters. There are several suspects and more than one possible motive. I enjoyed "being there" while they solved the case.
- Reviewed in the United States on November 20, 2022Perfect narrator voice for character Staci, as our heroine becomes involved in a murder investigation when someone is killed while she was on a first date.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 20, 2021Ok I don't think I want to read anymore of this series. I think they are geared more to teens or preteens. After reading 2 books of this series I'm mostly disappointed with the characters. I admit I liked them in the previous book, but 2 books full of a constantly bouncing very juvenile adult friend of the main character, a smart, slightly loved little dog that spends most of his time home alone, a o'hunk of a cop boyfriend and a constant round of murder and mayhem, without the blood and gore detailed, a saving grace, Well it may suit some adults but just not me.

I love these books. a shooting at a restaurant involves Stacy in another case. lots of good charactersand strong suspects in the well told story, although I did think the culprit was a little obvious but still the best of the series so far. a little grittiervthan some. I look forward to hearing the next one.narration is excellent.
