This is the English translation of the Kingdom Hearts 2 novel. it spans thw first two books of the Japanese version. The second cover is included inside as a color page. The rest of the illustrations are in black and white, and very few of them. The text itself is great (although I am an avid kingdom hearts fan) and gives some insight to scenes from the game! Some of the stuff you do while playing is summarized... oddly? But not bad. The vocabulary isn't exactly challenging so good for young teen readers (and kid readers really). It isn't all encompassing so if you haven't played the games (or know them decently well) the pacing may seem odd and you may feel like you're missing something. As a translation, its fairly accurate. Haven't found any major discrepancies thus far. Picture from my instagram features the japanese novels and the english novel. #coltlibrary

    The first half focuses heavily on the Roxas part of the story. Like the games, it feels like it takes ages to finally be with Sora, but in my opinion, it's more bearable in the novel. The moments with Riku, DiZ, and Namine make it a lot more interesting.

    This is the first two light novel of Kingdom Hearts II, boundled togedher and dubbed as volume one. They do not mention this, but you can notice how poorly cropped the book's end, no last page, or author note whatsoever. Despite this, the quality and translation is awesome, I encourage every fan to purchase it.

    I love these books! I'm only on the Chain of Memories book so far, but am very much looking forward to reading the rest! Having had a quick scan through it, I have noticed that the quotes from the game are spot on, which I love! It brings back fond memories of playing this game, as I have thoroughly enjoyed the series ever since I got the first Kingdom Hearts game. I was very excited to see that they did the games not just as manga but as books as well! Being an avid Kingdom Hearts fan and a total book worm, it's like a dream come true!     Da mich Kingdom Hearts schon seit meiner Kindheit begleitet, kam ich nicht drum herum mir auch dieses Buch zu kaufen.

    Dieses Buch beinhaltet so weit ich es beurteilen kann, die ersten zwei Bücher der japansichen Version.
    Das Buch ist in Englisch, schön geschrieben und auch für jeden empfehlenswert, der vielleicht nicht so perfekt Englisch kann.

    Allerdings schadet es nicht schon ein wenig Basiswissen durch die Spiele zu haben, bevor man dieses Buch liest.

    Ich bereue es nicht dieses Buch gekauft zu haben, es ist schön die Kingdom Hearts Geschichte auch mal als richtiges Buch zu lesen und im Schrank sieht es natürlich auch super aus!

    Freue mich auf den zweiten Teil, der so weit ich weiß auch dieses Jahr noch erscheinen wird.

    Come al solito, inizio dicendo che la spedizione è stata perfetta!
    KH2 ha segnato la mia ossessione per la saga quindi le mie aspettative erano altissime.
    Come sospettavo dopo aver letto la prima avventura di Sora, Olympus Coliseum appare qui e ci viene presentato come se fosse la prima visita (sebbene in realtà c'è già stato più di un anno prima). In questa prima parte l'unico altro mondo Disney è Agrabah ma la cosa non mi è dispiaciuta perché ogni pagina è ricca di nuove informazioni! Ci sono intere scene con Riku: a partire da quando aiuta DiZ fino a quando fa scappare Naminé e Axel e molto altro che non sto qui a spoilerare. Inoltre ci sono alcune scene con Axel, Saix e i membri dell'organizzazione (anche queste inedite o quasi).
    Questo è solo il primo volume, però mi aspetto che anche il secondo continui su questa strada!
    Quindi, ovviamente, stra stra stra consigliato!
