So, wow, I want to love this book, and it’s likely excellent in Arabic, but it’s a very bad translation. Google translate would have done a better job. It’s a thick book at 795 pages and I was looking forward to it, but the translation is so terrible that one needs to retranslate the translation just to make sense of it. I actually feel like this publisher is scamming buyers. I bought another book at the same time that was also translated from Arabic, from the Middle Ages, and it very readable as I expected this one to be. I’m going to look into how to report this seller/‘publisher’. No publisher is listed, it just says in the back ‘Made in the USA Columbia SC, 09 December 2020’ - was this printed on demand? Today is December 14th 2020. I found this exact ‘English’ translation online from a group in Indonesia that states clearly that their translation was not for sale, but whoever printed this failed to print that page of the book. How did this make it to Amazon as legit?
