- Reviewed in the United States on March 25, 2019Reginald has never been this upset. He is stuck on an island in a hurricane with none of his normal luxuries, no phone no internet, things he depends on to work and run his life. There could be one bright spot and that would be Hayes. Will they solve the mystery and connect as well?
- Reviewed in the United States on February 6, 2017After reading "Hide and Kill" (Lavender Book 2), I was hoping for a little something for Reginald. What a naughty little monkey Reginald is - and I absolutely love it. He is the epitome of a spoiled brat but he totally makes it work. How Lavender puts up with him I'll never know but he is obviously good at what he does. Throw in the sexy Hayes, a bit of mystery and steamy sexy times and you have one heck of a whirlwind romance. I love how the storyline progressed into a well written "Who done it". I wanted more Reginald interaction with Arthur - read the book and you'll understand the reference. Hysterical!
My only complaint: it left me hanging. There is nothing that gets me riled up more than an unexpected cliff hanger. That is because I'm selfish and I want it all, just like dear Reginald. It's not so much a cliff hanger as it is being left with the anticipation of another episode for Reginald.
K. Sterling is an immediate 1-click for me and she never disappoints.......well, except for this bit of a cliff hanger. I love her writing style and she continues giving funny, well-written and sexy stories. She's not afraid to color outside the lines and I love that about her. I recommend any of her books. If you want a bit of a background on Reginald I recommend reading the Lavender books first (In The Kill and the second book, Hide and Kill). I can't wait to see if there is an actual face to face meeting between Reginald and Aiden - mind blown.
- Reviewed in the United States on April 4, 2020I love Reginald and I liked the interactions between him and Hayes. The mystery aspect didn't do much for me though. It just didn't grab me and make me go crazy wanting to know what was next. The very end piqued my interest though.
- Reviewed in the United States on November 15, 2018I loved this short about Reginald, Lavender's assistant. He is so fun. I love him. Reginald is definitely a horndog, but he is also smart, witty, sassy and very loyaI. He and Hayes made a good team. I hope to learn more about Reginald and I wonder if there is one man out there who can finally capture his heart.
- Reviewed in the United States on September 23, 2018After going rogue since Lavenders semi retirement as a hit man, Reginald fiends himself bored and gets himself in a little mess.
To make him slow down Lavender sends him on a relaxing vaccination that becomes something completely else. Murder, voodoo, goats, hurricanes and a man that's his opposite, but great in bed has him longing for civilisation. But first he has a murder to sol6and there might be something more connecting him to this.
I knew from the previous books that Reginald was perfect as Lavenders assistant/computer genius and that he always propositions Lavender and give him grey hairs.
I really like Reginald from what we find out in this book. He's computer savvy, great in a crisis, highly intelligent and knows how seduce people. And he kind of reminds me a bit of Lavender with his need for neatness, being comfortable with dead bodies and not really react as other people to violence.
I can't wait to see him in a setting with Lavender, Sage, Lane and Aiden.
- Reviewed in the United States on February 1, 2017Reginald is here and he doesn't disappoint. His snark and since if humor is priceless, I laughed so much that I may have broken something. He is more than the man behind a computer digging for information for Mr. Lavender, he is just as useful in the field.
The chemistry and heat Reginald and Hayes generated set my Kindle on fire! I really, really hope there's more to come because this one left me hanging and I need more! This is a guaranteed must read and I think the best of K. Sterling's work. There is murder and suspense, laughter and steamy sex, you can't go wrong with this one.
- Reviewed in the United States on May 18, 2017I'm admittedly a big fan of this author, but this one is a bit different for her. I don't want to give too much away but if you're looking for the forever-after HEA that you normally get with Sterling this isn't the book for you. This feels more like the beginning of something fun and adventurous. I'm excited! I really enjoyed the book and can't wait for the next one, and would have given it five stars but there was just something missing ... and I'm not sure I can even tell you what it was. The mystery was good, I didn't guess the twists from the start. The romance was fun and sexy, but not deep, but like I said you're not looking for that in this one. I totally enjoyed it, it was just ... something. Absolutely worth the read and a great start!

Reginald is forced to an island by Lavender after one of their missions. On his first day he encounters a hurricane that washes up a body. With the help of Hayes, an American scientist who lives on the island, Reginald tries to solve the mystery of the dead man.
I actually read Lust Marry Kill before I read this one and with that story I couldn't figure out what it was between Paul and Reginald that didn't work for me. I figured it out now. They felt force and unnatural. Where as Hayes and Reginald felt more organic they also have the whole enemies to lovers thing going for them. Why the author didn't stick with them as a couple is beyond me.
This book was much more entertaining and Reginald was not only tolerable in this one but he was also likable.
