    There is so much valuable information, including different reasons you may choose to homeschool, ways to figure out how you and your child(ern) learn so you can create the best learning environment, strategies for different subjects and age levels, many resources listed throughout and a list at the end, and even a checklist making sure you do not forget a crucial part of setting up your school.

    It is an easy read and takes a neutral stance, meaning the author, Melanie Summers, did not take a stance on religion.

    Definitely add this book to your MUST Read List. I highly recommend it for not only those homeschooling but also teachers and others in the education field.

    I just wish that when the book was digitized that there weren't errors with the layout. Literally, my only complaint.

Ms. Summers shares strategies and wisdom for homeschooling children by identifying your child's UNIQUE learning personalities or styles (a combination of strengths and preferences unique to your child's natural predispositions). The 8 "innovative intelligences" comprising her system is presented clearly to serve as actionable guides and pointers. The objective of every parent is to empower their children so that their unique expression of intelligence can be optimally developed with least amount of resistance and obstacles. These insights can be applied to adult learners as well, because adult learning styles are not that much different from learning patterns developed during their formative years of growth as children. I highly recommend this book to all educators who appreciate connecting most authentically with their learners, regardless of circumstances and age of students. The insights shared in this book is applicable for any type of learning situations, not merely to home-schooled children. The uncertainty of homeschooling is significant, so this book and Ms. Summer's coaching and consulting services can be very helpful for anxious and inexperienced parents who need professional and reliable guidance to stay in compliance with governmental regulations. What could be more critical than empowering your children to maximize their innate and vast potential by supporting their learning styles?
